Sorry, it's hard to explain this concept via text for some reason lol.. basically the opposite of what DKS does.
So when you hold alt and shift at the same time, it then acts as FN1
oh yeah no not possible atm
also a bit odd to add as a function as if we take your example as something someone would set up theyd basically remove a ton of windows/macos/linux shortcuts by accidentally making it impossible to press shift and alt (without mapping them somewhere else again)
Yeah true, only if pressed in combination though, you could still press shift and alt individually and with any combination of other keys, just not together. But this would be for a specific gaming profile anyway, so I wouldn't mind not having alt + shift combos for my OS while this is active
It's a really common things in most game interfaces,
The reason I am trying to set it up that way, is because in the game i'm playing there are certain actions bound to F1-F4, and unfortunately at the fault of the game, you can't bind those keys to anything else, they must be F1-F4. And I have a 60HE, so I have to press FN1+1-4 to activate my F1-F4, but I can't reach all the way across the keyboard with one hand to do that, and I don't want to take my hand off my mouse to hit the F1-F4 mid game
So if I could rebind FN1 to alt + shift, then I could hit F1-F4 with just my left hand
I just using mod tap to get 1-4 to be F1-F4 on hold, but it made tapping 1-4 feel "sticky", like there's an input lag now for tapping
because it has to wait for key release before it knows if you tapped or not
you cant have the key down happen on actual key down because you might want the hold action
Right makes sense. Well no biggie, I'll figure something else out. Appreciate the discussion though!
