Is it worth investing the extra 100 Euro for the zinc alloy over the pcr plastic?
i don't really game that much anymore atm but when im playing i play all kind of games like fn, league, hades, tft but i do use my keyboard allot by just browsing the internet, chatting on discord and reading manga, is it still worth investing the extra 100 euro? (i don't plan on modding anything and just using it out the box stock)

I’m not a mod or official, just my personal opinion — I think it depends on how much you value having one keyboard that could last forever.

If Wooting ends up being your ‘last keyboard,’ and future versions keep the same layout so the PCB can be swapped into the same case, then the zinc alloy case could be worth it. It’s more of a long-term investment in durability and aesthetics.

On the other hand, you’re not losing any performance by going with the PCR plastic version. Functionally they’re identical — it really comes down to how much you care about the look, feel, and weight of the board you’ll be using every day.

#

However, if you like switching up keyboards from time to time and enjoy trying different ones, then I’d avoid the zinc case — the whole idea of investing for the long term wouldn’t really align with that.

that makes sense, i don't like swapping keyboards often, rn i have a razer huntsman v2 or something and ive had this for like 3-4 years, the only reason i wanna swap is because i love the layout, sound and software wooting uses

#

so it might indeed be my final last keyboard i get

That's also why I choose Wooting. I work on my keyboard all day everyday. Wooting's switches are hot swappable. Meaning if I use a key too much and it ended up die on me, I can swap it out. So it basically saves me money for not having to replace the entire keyboard if a important key brokes. 😅

np, glad that I could help. Also, maybe later the official mods and people will reply. They might have more input on this topic that I didn't think of.
