looks like the keyboard RGB is on but the system or wootility is not detecting the device
could you please check device manger with the following settings
- Device manger
- View
- Device by container
- Select "wooting 60HE" and expand the device tree
- Take a screenshot of what is visible
i wish to check if the system did not assign the correct drivers as this would explain why the keyboard turns on but is not detected by wootility
ok
the language is italian
btw i love your keybord and i bought something today to customize mine
Thanks 🙂
well that is a bit strange...
says the keyboard has two "HID keyboard" drivers
otherwise the other drivers are correct
(translated image)
tankyou for the translated image!
could you perform the steps in this guide to remove the currently assigned drivers and force the system to reinstall them
please note it is currently 4:42am, so i take a while to respond as i might have fallen asleep
potresti seguire i passaggi in questa guida per rimuovere i driver attualmente assegnati e costringere il sistema a reinstallarli
nota che sono attualmente le 4:42, quindi potrei impiegare un po' a rispondere perché potrei essermi addormentato

Sometimes even after following this guide Issue - Wootility doesn't detect the Wooting the Wootility still can not detect the keyboard, this can be because of d
ok
there is only this related to wooting
well, that is strange, the extra keyboard driver is still there.
to check some points:
- when you type on the keyboard, does the keyboard react
- when you attempt to connect to Wootility, does this now work or detect the device?
yes when I type the keyboard reacts
same thing, maybe is my computer, is a lil old
can you give this site a try
https://wootility.io/
well that is strange is the keyboard disconnecting when you connect it in wootility
---
beh, è strano, il tastierino si disconnette quando lo colleghi a Wootility?
I'm already translating it
oops
no
force of habit (tickets)
sometimes works
when ill buy my new pc ill try there
Wotility was working before I formatted my PC.
i feel like Wootility/keyboard attempts to communicate but is failing, though not entirely sure why maybe some software is interfaring with the connection? but that is a guess
to have a better idea, could you provide the "main.log" files? These are generated by the application version of Wootility and can tell us how Wootility is reacting or if the keyboard is detected at all
for the applicaiton can you press "Try out wootility" instead of connecting the keyboard then go to
- Help
- Open error logs (bottem left of wootility)
- this will open a folder to ""C:\Users%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\wootility\logs""
- then attach the main.log file to discord
yeah thats my pc
cuz isn't opening the file
my pc is old and maybe isn't working
i mean
maybe but still strange behavior.
the log error
im stupid cuz somthing in my pc isn't opening, or it takes a lot of minuts to open
im really sorry for the loss of time
no worrys glad it has been resolved.
so just to check it was just taking awhile to connect?
no, i think that is one of the file my pc can't open
i waited for like 5 minuts waitng the file to open
really sorry
I need to sleep, but you might have better luck manually opening the folder at that path or using the "Wootility > Help > Open Error Logs" button to go directly to the folder.
Another idea is to run the computer in Windows Safe Mode. This will disable all non-Windows software, letting you try to launch the Wootility application to see if it works. This helps check if other software is causing the problem.
ok
also no problem mate i like solving these strange cases helps me learn new things 🙂

thankyou
...... uhhh i think may have an idea
In the past, the keyboard had two "HID Keyboard Device" drivers. This was later changed in a firmware update about a year ago.
When was the last time the keyboard received a firmware update?
idk
maybe when i bought it
so like 2 years ago
can you try using V4 Wootility, then update the keyboard to the latest firmware available there? https://v4.wootility.io/
After that, try V5 Wootility:
This is a bit of a long shot, but there may be an issue if the keyboard is on a very old firmware version when trying to use V5.
i don't know how to update the firmware
- can you click the link https://v4.wootility.io/
- select "initialize a device"
- select and connect your keyboard
- select "settings"
- Select "Update"
- Select your keyboard
- select update
if the keyboard connects on step 3 do tell me
ahh ok thanks well strange case i will report this to the software team if they have any idea but i am kind of half dead at the moment so i need to sleep
sure man
but i think my computer is the issue
yea that or maybe an old firmware issue
if you have anouther deivce/computer can give a try to cross check
my brother have a pc ill try tomorrow cuz is using his pc right now
if you want to upload logs i can take a look
To check regarding the main.log file, do you have trouble
- opening the text file
- finding the folder
- or attaching/uploading it to Discord?
i resolved the issue
its a my computer issue
my pc have somthing wrong
and ill change him like at christmas so
anyways
the optimum case and keycaps are very very cool
agin love your keyboards!
yeah i know
but when i bought my keyboard the 80 he wasn't released so
i bought the 60 he +
nice need to use my 60HE+ more but would need to move all the keyboard around
i resolved even on my old pc
