Randomly last night after using a macro on my audio mixer to shut down my pc, I bluescreened and didn’t really think anything of it because I just clicked to shut down my pc again after it rebooted.

However upon booting up this AM I found that my keyboard was spamming the S,D,W,A keys in any search bar and additionally my other usb devices like my audio interface were glitching. I unplugged my keyboard and put a different one in on the case usb and it worked fine. Then just to test if the keyboard was the issue I plugged wooting back in and bluescreened again. Not sure what’s going on I doubt it’s even wooting specific but the keyboard blue screening me on plug in has me worried lol, what’s going on here?

If the pc is blue screening when you plug your keyboard in and it’s not a power supply or usb port issue on your pc, it could be a program that’s causing it.

i recommend to check windows "event viewer"
and track down what type of error occurred as is a blue screen it should be under "Event viewer (local) > Summary of administrative events > Critical"

then go goes to check the error type and see if there is a solution if i was to guess something is wrong with the system or motherboard

The keyboard power draw, while high compared to some other keyboards, should not be the cause of a blue screen as it is within an acceptable range for a USB device

At most, if there is a short in the cable or keyboard causing more power to be drawn, it can trigger a Windows warning or (depending on the motherboard) temporarily disable the USB ports until a restart occurs as a safety precaution

Interesting it also was exhibiting the other signs of too much power draw too though with the randomly opening file explorer and pressing random keys stuff like in the video someone sent me abt it, for now it has stopped I switched around what was plugged into what but it only stopped when I plugged my audio interface into my front io
