Spotify uses "media keys" which the operating system controls.
If you have this enabled in Spotify, they should work if you've bound them on the UwU.
thats what i figured out too
i was not clear in the first message i mainly mean the spotify volume control
That can't be controlled afaik
hmm okay still thanks for the anser
it can be controlled as far as i know
but i think (im not sure abt it.) with the steam deck its possible beacuse they added spotify as seperate controls (like a addon)
Yeah they would have to do some kind of API call, speaking with Spotify directly and telling it to do certain things. You might be able to find out how the Steamdeck does it and use that somehow?
Media keys is an operating system thing, that is used for a lot of things, and apps tap into it. Youtube in a browser, Spotify, Movie playing apps and so on.
not sure on the software but i did something similar in the past to control the volume via windows "volume mixer" by certain keys
may want to consider this instead of directly controling the app
ooh that could be option i could control the steelseries sonar mixer to lower the media volume effectively
i think i can set kaybinds for it
i did this back in the windows 7 days and can't remember the software i used but it was pretty rough i assume better methods or software these days
last point if you do bind a key you may want to consider "F13-F22" these are not commonly used so pretty good to bind macros/actions
jup thats the plan
thank you
