Swich replacing question from modding newb

I have 80HE and i never replace switches before. i'm planning to use Gateron Magnetic Jade Pro over lekker v2.
Do i need to do anything after installed new switches before start to use new ones?
How about current settings for everything (actuation points, key maps...etc)? Will they change? Do i need to make a backup from current settings?
Is there any possibility for compatibility issue?

You won’t need to do anything after installing third-party switches, keyboard auto-calibrates. Also you won't have any compatibility issues either.

However, if you haven’t ordered Jade Pros yet, I’d recommend considering other switches instead. There are cheaper options with a similar sound but less stem wobble.

thanks so much for the reply and amazing recommendation table especially! i wonder your personal recommendation though. i'm using my 80HE heavily for gaming. love thock sounding and rbg brightness is also important 🙂
