#Key lock led not turning off after update?

I just updated my Wooting 60HE to the newest firmware. Before the update, when I used the keylock button, the LED would turn off — that’s how I knew it was working. But now it stays on. Is this a bug, or can I fix this in the settings

Try unplugging then replugging keyboard. If that didn’t do anything, try duplicating the profile and using the dupe one. Current profile may have gotten corrupted.

I use the fn key to switch to my other profile. Maybe thats what your referring too

nono not for the wooting but in general to maybe control your mouse and fans and what not

also does the keylock work (besides the rgb) as in is the key disabled?

maybe @dense ingot has an idea why they key lock doesnt disable the rgb

Whats tried:

  • Firmware restore
  • New profile
  • No RGB software running
  • Key lock works

I tried the beta, and changing my static RGB also didn’t work.
I have a separate profile that activates when I press the Fn key. In this profile, the Windows key is locked. When I release the Fn key, the keyboard switches back to my main profile, but the Windows key stays locked and the LED remains off.

This behavior used to work correctly before the update, but now it doesn’t.

in that case it may not be fixed with the latest beta

just to make sure, could you record the behavior as I believe it is the issue I mentioned, just want to confirm.

Thanks for confirming that is the issue we are aware of it was added to the list of bugs but not sure on the status of the fix so may be next beta or be awhile

@dense ingot I have this issue on the 60HE v2, when I press the middle FN + Win Key it locks and the RGB turns on when locked but when I press FN the RGB resets

Maybe it is not related but maybe @last hinge can explain to me why are there small led lights on the FN keys if the FN key only works while pressed, aren't they redundant ?

that is to indicate the LED state when enable
for example if you press "Capslock" it will shine white (or to what colour you set it to)

I can give you my profile if you want but I don't understand the LED purpose, if the key works only while it is pressed, why is it there ?

On caps the behaviour works well, but not on FN

Win lock is working perfect on my keyboard, I'm not sure what could be going wrong with yours

FN-lock LED indicator seems bugged for me
60HE+

  • Static RGB colour (no effects layers)
  • Hold FN
  • Press "Windows"
  • "Windows" RGB turns off
  • Release "FN" Windows key RGB turns on
  • Press/hold "FN" windows RGB key still on

so a mismatch

when an base layer "Spiral" effect is enable the problem is gone

I can not reproduce. Maybe we fixed it since the last public release, but I don't think so

can also record a video if needed (for now almost 6am so time for sleep)
