#No disclaimer when resetting the keyboard through the Help -> Troubleshoot menu

So I've been mostly happy with my wooting two HE for the past two years, but I've been experiencing some problems today and decided to see what the "Help" Menu in the wootility App looks like.
In there is a restore and reset device troubleshooting guide, which I gladly followed; maybe my problems would go away?
Well, I can't test, if the problems have gone away, because all my profiles got deleted, without any disclaimer that that would happen.
From a customer standpoint, this feels horrible. For me it's not a big problem, and you might also argument, that thoughts like "think before you click" and "no backup no mercy" are a thing, but nontheless, getting no disclaimer what-so-ever going through the Help -> Troubleshoot Menu feels like a big oversight on the dev side.

I would love to see a change of that in the future, so others can benefit of the disclaimer.

I attached a video of how a person might go to the troubleshoot guide and do the steps required. Just so everyone sees, that there is no disclaimer.

All in all, still the best product I've bought, please don't lynch me

It does say it will reset the device

But it does not say, that the profiles will be deleted.

#

Reset can mean anything in this case - I feel like this is not really clear enough.

As stated, I might've clicked too fast and should've thought about it, but I think these kind of mistakes are pretty fast to happen, and there is a reason that there is the disclaimer under Settings -> Keyboard Settings -> "Reset all keyboard settings"
That disclaimer makes a whole lot of sense and should be added anywhere, where profiles might get deleted; or at least in the Troubleshooting guide imo.

#

My thought process was: Since there is no disclaimer, my profiles are safe, right? -> If that thought process is viable in your eyes at least a little bit, the disclaimer is missing imo.

(and please don't get me wrong, this is in no way an attack of any sort! I'm trying to help and give constructive feedback - despite my frustrations) peepoLove @glad pasture

Also, the usage of "restore" on this troubleshooting guide might be misleading (and might have mislead me aswell)

Quite surprised you’re the first person pointing this out.

Me too, if I have to admit :D

But yeah, you're probably right. It was most likely written for the situation that something critically does not work - hence the disclaimer was most likely not needed in that case.
Adding it will not do any harm and would help people like me out ^^
