How can I prevent further paint deteriorating?

Hey guys! I have a minor paint issue on my 80HE black zinc case and after watching the latest video, I realized it's the same issue, so I contacted support.

I received a response pretty quickly and decided upon a refund for the case since it's still usable and I felt like it would be a waste if I just got a replacement.

Does anyone have any ideas on what I can apply to the currently chipped areas to prevent it from spreading? Maybe some kind of coating on the spots, or maybe some kind of tape? It's currently not too serious but I think it will get worse with more use. Thanks!
