#Wooting 80HE+ (85?)
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Hate to tell ya, but the demand just isn’t there currently, so don’t hold your breath if you’re in the market for a new keyboard. The 60HE suits the gamer first that just needs the basic keys or doesn’t want a large keyboard. 80HE serves the purpose of adding in the function row and dedicated arrow keys. And the TwoHE is the no corners cut full size for those wanting every key. Once they drop 60HEv2, I’d bet a new version of the TwoHE will be announced as being in the works as the 100HE.
I wanted to buy the TWOHE, but if I read correctly I can better wait for a newer Full Size ? 🙂
I mean you’ll be waiting for quite some time. They haven’t even announced a new one yet and it’s about a year after an announcement that a new board drops
So for example:
If it is getting announced begin mid summer 2026,(almost a year from here)
It would take another year for the release? So 2 years wating
Yeah pretty much. If you want function keys and don’t care about a numpad, just go for 80HE.
Oh so wait, the HE80 is a full size without the numpad? numpad only or more keys?
It’s an 80% layout
alright, is this the same one btw?
Yup
Just make sure to get whatever layout you want wether it be ansi or iso depending on what’s standard use in your country (or whatever preference you have).
Now I am doubting...
I always had a full size... now: "Razer Black Widow Chroma V2 green switch."
The keyboards: TWOHE and HE80 are both a really high upgrade for me. I don't know what to do now. Because the HE80 is newer and has 8k polling rate.
I am Dutch so I think that is just US (ansi)
Sorry for my typing I am really tired, and I was looking to buy the TWOHE tommorow but now I see it has 1k polling and the other one 8k is crazy
Well that’s for you to decide whether or not it’s worth the upgrade. As far as layouts go, us ansi or iso German would probably be the most common there.
Old spreadsheet but shows comparisons between the 2 and 80
What does PC stands for?
Polycarbonate (type of plastic)
is that better than TWOHE?
wait wait wait,
Isn't it possible that I can discuss a Custom full size of the HE80 features with TWOHE looks?
AY Who is that!
Really just affects the sound profile. Less pingy. Biggest 2 things with the 2 is that it’s 100% layout and uses a proprietary case setup (can’t use aftermarket).
Ooh alright and that it hasnt low latency if I look at the 80HE
1k vs 8k polling really isn’t a dealbreaker
Mmm, okay that is calming me a bit.
Yea sorry I am a noob in keyboard things...
I just bought the Razer one in 2019 and it is coming to it's end... LOL
Before I got my wooting, I used this (I still do to control my pc from my bed) 😂
I HAVE ONE SIMILAR FOR THE TV HAHAHA
Such an underrated keyboard. Horrendous for gaming though
Btw I use numpad for programming, but I program on my laptop and never on my pc
So now I am ltr questioning my self why I have a full on my desktop
is there a left handed ver lol
No

To be fair if you only use a numpad for coding and don’t do it at your desk, why not get a smaller keyboard and a standalone numpad that you can pull out if needed? You save desk real estate that way.
Well you are right. 2
I asked my gf and my best friend for also advise that have no idea how good wooting is.
I told them the benefits of the left one versus the right one. They both said “Just take the left then! You are just gonna use it for gsming and programming you do behind your laptop, so why not safe space?”
My best friend said: “you can always buy a cheap numpad for extra!”
So I think my choice is made!!! The left one!!
But I still have one question, if I bought it, I have in house, and after using it for some days, and I want to return it with the reason: “I don’t like 80%, I tried but no”
Is that valid reason for return?
Oh one more thing! There isn’t coming a 80HE V2? Is it?
An overview of our policy for the Warranty/Return/Cancellation Policy
No. 80HE is the most recent keyboard offering from wooting that’s currently for sale. 60HEv2 was announced early this year but still not even available for preorder. Unless something radically changes with keyboard tech, I’d bet 5 or so years before the 80HE sees any significant update.
Alright should I buy the PCR or ZINC version?
Or can I go PCR and later always make it ZINC by buying spear parts
That’s up to you and how much you want to spend. Functionally, they do the exact same thing
Yeah I want to spend less
Not 100 euro’s extra 😂
@deep cairn I just bought as you can see by my roleeee
