I just received a 80HE in a zinc case today and after the first hour or so the keyboard started disconnecting intermittently and eventually just stopped being detected. Reading earlier posts the connector inside the case might be the cause, but will this affect the warranty? Or would it be better to just RMA the entire board. Have to say a bit shocking for a keyboard costing 299€.

Opening up the keyboard to reconnect the JST cable does not void warranty as long as it is done with care
Disassemble the keyboard and plug in the JST cable in the connector. This doesnt affect the warranty.
You need to unscrew all screws on the bottom of the case, take off the top plate, lift the pcb and push JST cable in the connector.

Thanks for the tips! Tried this and initially it seemed to fix things, but then the problem popped up again. Does anyone have any hunch on how long the RMA process takes in EU, or should I just request a refund as I'm in the 30 day window?
You'll need to contact CS either way, so start by reaching out about the issue.
