IMPORTANT FOR ANY POTENTIAL READERS: SKIP TO THE MESSAGE OF JULY 2ND (or July 1st in certain timezones) TO NOT WASTE A LOT OF TIME READING

TL;DR at the bottom!
I bought the 80HE module along with the basic necessities which got shipped out 2 days ago. After the smooth assembly and Wootility setups I was ready to type away and play Rocket League. It felt great considering how much more responsive the keyboard is in comparison to what I had prior to this considering all the fancy features that the analog keyboard brings.

But very soon I started to notice oddities in my gameplay. These oddities were keys not releasing when I let go of them (this happens every now and then and sometimes more frequent than others). As you can imagine, this is very frustrating when my car sometimes turns away from the play or when I'm in the air and i just randomly lose control over my car. This regards all keys and I've tried messing around with Wootility but I've not found a fix.

TL;DR
The keys on my Wooting 80HE sometimes don't register when I release a key, causing various annoying issues.

Pinging me is fine if you want more information regarding my Wootility/physical setup, have any questions or solutions!

If you go to https://analog-monitor.wootility.io/ do you see anything moving around if you don't press anything? Can you also press a key and see if you see the full travel?

Also, are you using the original cable directly into the motherboard? And do you have any magnetic desk or something that can cause magnetic interference?

When I'm not touching any keys, no graphs are showing. And when I press any key they all go the full 4mm, no problems there.

I'm using the original cable that came with the 80HE module and it's plugged directly into my motherboard's USB-C port. I have a wooden desk and nothing magnetic nearby!

If there would be magnetic interference it would press keys randomly, that's not my issue! My issue is that on some occasions, keys don't register when I let go of them, leaving them pressing that key for a short while until it randomly stops or after pressing that key once or more times, which is problematic and very frustrating.

Though I did this for like 2 minutes, the time intervals between the problem I'm facing can be way longer.

might be hard to tell here but when I let go of the D key it reactivated even though I didn't press it, and when I let go of W it deactivated at the same time

#

I'm gonna try to record another example to see if looks the same on the inputs.

#

This is a very strange issue. If you have any suggestions, questions or anything, please do go ahead let me know (I can't play the game at all like this when every key is at risk of this happening randomly).

I'll list what I've tried:
I have tried different actuation points.
I have tried turning on and off rapid trigger.
I have tried turning on and off "Tachyon Mode".
I have tried restoring they keyboard in the Help section of the Wootility app.

That is honestly odd, I would have debugged it the same way you did. I would open a support ticket and wait for them to reply.

Update to my situation:
The longer I’m using the keyboard the more often this problem appears until it eventually becomes consistent. This also gradually marginally increases my input latency which is extremely strange. I’m suspecting a memory leak, but what do I know.

Un-plugging and re-plugging fixes it and returns the input delay to normal and the problem appears less frequently. Then after a while again my keys get ”stuck” (dont release) and my input latency is once again marginally worse.

did you try 1khz polling mode yet?

# kind parcel did you try 1khz polling mode yet?

Yes, I have. This mitigates the issue where the key gets ”stuck” but the input latancy is worse of the get go and the increase in delay over time is still prominent.

It kind of sucks since 8k was one of the reasons for the purchase of this keyboard and my inputs feel marginally slower and sluggish when polling is at 1k after using 8k.

#

Could it maybe be a power issue then?

kind parcel
#

could in theory be but usually power issues present a bit different to my knowledge

#

it may be best to open a support ticket with us to get someone from technical support to look at it
