can you send a screen shot of device manager (set it to View -> Devices by Container -> unfold Wooting One)
should look something like this after (ofc with a wooting one in your case)
hm
if you run joy.cpl from the start menu or Win+R what shows up there for controller settings in windows?
(joy.cpl (joypad contropanel) is just the name of the file that opens the gamepad config)
does it work if you go to properties there?
affirmative.
jumping into a game known to work (a game about digging a hole)
but other software cant hear it basically
this also accepts the input.
but others known to have compatability? negative.
**known to work through my own testing
uhm, yes.
i can't think of a game I tried launching outside of steam
I have a couple I can try, if needs I guess
but controller compat =.=
yeah i asked cause of the steam controller layer
right
affirmative
what other games did you try?
gta V. stranded deep, TLOU 1&2, Skyrim, Dying Light 1&2, Dayz,
Apocolypse Party
Enshrouded
when you tried with your actual controller
did you try moving and pressing keyboard keys at the same time?
as in moving with controller
simultaneous input? yes to: TLOU, Skyrim, Dying light, Dayz
enshrouded (i found the issue with this so have ommited)
do you have the normal movement keys for the game also on ijkl (so if you wouldnt use the analog mode)
yes. Also tried with gamemapping override turned on and off.
ah great thats where i was going
thought so
so both failed i assume
either completely fucked movement, or it was 0 or 1
correct. tried both modded and unmodded.
ok thats the smallest of those i have so ill install it real quick to sanity check if i have the same issues
I really appreciate it sir
I also booted it up to test, keyboard is 0 or 1, not a variable input. Mouse doesn't work at the same time as keyboard (or xinput)
wut
?
the mouse not working at the same time
i could swear i recall it working mixed input for skyrim
nah
I can move the cursor across, say, the esc settings screen
but clicking does.... fuck all
not sure if Dishonoured is in the list of compatible games or not but I just tried that too.. It's 0 or 1, not variable.
thanks ❤️
its not the most up to date by anymeans
it's really weird.
understood
I have the acutation point set to 1.5mm
would that make a difference?
not for analog controls
from what you've mentioned device controller wise, and others. I can't think why this isn't working
controller hasn't been connected during my PC's uptime
i mean windows is clearly happy given it works in the windows gamepad settings
yea....
although i also dont know why it didnt read controller data on the website for you
its like smth sits and eats all the inputs
right.
im more trying to figure out why the browser didnt see controller stuff going on
it would be the most accepting
doesnt care for what controller or what slot
just shows data it receives
great
then my crappy internet today almost finished skyrim
then we can see if it works for me
then we can figure out why (most likely) steam doesnt like what you wanna do
cool. thanks
cant wait until I can swap out all our network cards & switch
2.5gb/s in our area
ok so no mixed input i can confirm that but it works fine for me
with the walking and running and such
lemme check again
skyrim perhaps a poor choice of test platform on my part
inconclusive when it comes to walk, run, etc.
should be quite easy to spot although idk if there was a limit on analog range for controller output on flaretech boards
this is the general consensus I am leaning towards
i got the gamepad mode to work on marvel rivals, but it keeps swapping the UI and making a pinging noise, saying "switching devices" every time i click a button lol it's unplayable, but having slow walk and slow strafing is really cool on a keyboard
it's just an old board
depending on game it will always swap UI
because the game is interpreting different controls, and therfore different control prompts
part of the tech atm
yeah so from what i can tell everything should work fine in skyrim (and any other game) at worst steam controller layer is messed up inbetween the controller and game
and yes the analog range was limited
so maybe if you change the curve it could lead to more obvious walk and run transisitons
wootility, or steam?
wootility
oh, wootility
yeah lets you change how a profiles analog curve looks
tried messing with that too
and then in the website you can check if the stick moves as youd expect
you prob wanna try the slow preset
I might just need to upgrade
Well it should register inputs at all still
i mean if you have general use for our keyboards id say sure. if its mainly for analog in games id say only if you really have the extra cahs to burn
idk if im comfortable just blanket chilling our boards for a main use as a mixed input/controller type thing
I want to be a part of the movement that is analog input
ill recommend if you get a new HE board for the full 0.1-4mm range also get springs at 100g or more for ijkl
deciding to walk, instead of run, should be on the same key, not a modifier
just makes the analog movement smoother
as in closer controlability to controller sticks
thats the weight needed to fully press down yes
right
i eprsonally really liked 250g springs back on the wooting two flaretech but the HE switches aren as easy to pull out and swap as the flaretechs
still dosable no question but more hastle
and 250g really aint nice for typing
(at least the first few weeks)
still QC towards WASD, or is that just the one?
qc?
so with the one, WASD, QE, etc were the most.... accurate?
in regards to their reading of actuation
I found that I had to swap WASD with IJKL
after some wear the most used switches usually go first
we made it a goal to not treat any key really special in any regard so it stays as configurable as possible
from the wooting one till today (and our future keyboards)
hmm, review websites have likely done you some discredit there I guess.
(may I just say, I have never. never had this level of respect & help from the company I have bought peripherals from.)
i mean i can only speak for myself (although i know quite a few with the same sentiment and same general way into wooting): i was a customer until a few years ago
i joined just because i liked what wooting does and what their whole stick is. if that changes too much id prob just quit.
Do you focus on CSM, or are you part of the dev team?
right
we do this cause its our passion mainly so as long as youre happy we are happy really
I'd like that your sups be aware that your support is why I am purchasing
can I do that, or what?
