When my PC boot, the keyboard is FLASHING every second or so. And when the lights are off, its not only the lights its also the inputs so typing is a disaster. To make it work, for now, I have to unplug the original cord (a to c) and plug in my C to C cable which i use for my controller, then go to wooting.io and register it, and then I can use the original cord again. Anyone know anything ab this sort of problems?
its a pain having to unplug my controller AND keyboard and plug in the c to c then open Chromium (bc firefox, my main browser, is not supported by wooting.io) to do this. I need to replug cables 4 times and open an additional browser EVERY time I start my PC. THIS HAS ONLY HAPPENED WITH WOOTING

Could be as easy as missing packages or something but I choose not to believe it. And I cant get the Appimage of wootility to work (cachyOS)
Looks like your keyboard is not getting stable/enough power
@native harness I wouldn't normally pinged you but seeing as you were just responding in #💬│general I shall
What is it plugged into?
And a sidenote I'm fairly new to Linux. I was on Mint for a couple of months (without using Wooting) and now I decided to remove Mint and install CachyOS and now its like this
Regular USB on back of desktop pc
I tried both USB 2.0 and 3.0
And like I said it works after opening chromium (pls add firefox support) and using the c to c cable for a stable connection
firefox needs to add wooting (WebHID) support, not the other way around :p
then after connecting it to wootility.io and switching a profile i can plug into the normal original usb c to a again
isnt that just a normal addon? think theres addons to get chrome addons into firefox
im probably wrong tho xd
Wait so you’re only having issues when it’s plugged in usb c to usb a?
Do you have time to go in a call and I'll show you the exact things I have to do?
Not how it works
Originally, yes
I use the one that came with it
And when i boot my keyboard is like this
But you’re not ever having issues when running usb c to c? May be a bad c to a adapter
And then I go to Chromium and into Wootility.io and it just spams me with "connected" "disconnected" "connected" "disconnected"
Yeah that’s usually a connection issue
so I take the cable from my xbox controller (c to c) and it gets a stable connection
and then with the stable connection I get my keyboard up and running in wootility and switch a profile and then back to main profile and switch the cables back and it works
No problems with C to C
I only have one C port on the back tho and thats for my controller specifically
So i cant just change up the cable to an C to C for the wooting
But you just answered your question though? It’s likely a bad adapter or cable.
then why does it work after getting a connection to wootility xd
only faulty until i randomly open wootility
a faulty cable is a faulty cable going into wootility.io should not make it not faulty
And of course, no issues in Windows I already checked
I highly doubt its the cable
That I couldn’t answer. But what you’ve been describing, especially what’s shown in the video is a connection issue (whether internal to the keyboard, cable, or pc port).
And you said you don’t have any issues when you run c to c
I havent tried it from boot
but when i boot with a to c plugged in and its crappy, changing to C immediately fixes it
I'm not technical support
You should
and then i can go to chromium and the wootility and then the a to c just works again and i cant understand why
That would immediately answer your problem
I'll try brb
Such a weird case
Booting with the usb c to c seems to have no issues so far
Oh shoot wrong boot
…problem solved then
I mean, no? not really now I cant use my controller
Do you not have any spare cables laying around?
yeah the keyboard works with a third party cable but it should still work through the original one since its getting enough power
iom out of usb c ports
thats why I need the keyboard to work on its ORIGINAL A to C
Do you have any c to a cables?
(without having to go into chromium)
uhhh maybe I'll go see
You might be able to reach out to support in the hub and see if they can warranty the one you’ve got
Now
hear this; plugging out the usb c to c and the a to c in makes it work without opening chromium
but if i boot with a to c - and then plug in the c to c and back to a to c it doesnt
Another possible issue is your pc isn’t providing enough power to the usb a ports on boot. I’m not super bios tech savvy so I couldn’t help with that.
Then its weird it works on windows
must be driver or software related but i dont understand how a c to c will help with that
if there is a lack of power it could show up as phantom presses
or signs on the monitor
regarding the C;C is there any adapter being used? befoore it is in the pc
no both cables are wired directly into the mb
are you sure the port on your PC isn't just shit
