which display brightness mappings?

#

oh nvm i know which ones you mean.

#

i think those only work on macbooks. the magic keyboard just had f1 - f19 i think where macos does some remaps on f13-f19 to internal functions

#

ye i just rechecked and for me f14 and f15 dont work on my macbook but the brightness up/down mappings work

#

(i dont know if the display brightness keys may also work on iMacs or not as they also have an internal screen)

yeah its not working when connected to my studio displays

#

mapping it to f14 and f15 which is the default shortcuts do work however

#

yeah so i assume the brightness up down keys are strictly for mac devices which have an internal display themselves

#

it should work with studio displays as well - since they are apple as well

#

the brightness shortcuts on my magic keyboard do work with them

north belfry
#

those should just be f14 and f15 i think

ye

you can check here

#

ye the brightness keys on the magic keyboard are special keys - you have to fake the board as an apple keyboard for those to work

#

i can use f14 and f15 as a workaround for now - just have to figure out what to do when im not using it in clamshell mode

oh yeah no the ones in wootility are just the default keycode ones i believe in the usb spec

#

maybe @vale stone or @knotty tiger has some more insight on this and if we can add apple keyboard specific keycodes
