Does it happen with tachyon mode off?

It does not happen with tachyon mode off. When it is on, I do notice that the brightness level is affecting the "distance" it says under visual feedback. The higher brightness the "Farther" it says its being pressed, up to .8 on max brightness and 0 brightness is closer to 0 (doesn't happen at all with RGB off). Is it possible the usb port is being over heated / drawing too much power?

That does sound like the power being supplied might get a bit unstable, do you have a powered USB hub you could try it connected to? Or another USB port?

Oh and are you using the cable that came with the keyboard?
