Hey everyone - I’m kind of panicking right now. I’ve had my 80HE for less than a year now, and I have treated it like an actual child with how careful I have been with it. But suddenly, over the last couple days, I’ve noticed that either the USB C connector itself or my cord has a short in it, because it requires me to have the cable at a specific bend near the connection piece (aka putting stress on it in a specific direction) in order for it to connect. The only other thing I use that cord to charge is my phone (sometimes, and I mean rarely). I’m using the $50 Tachyon cable, and I have a Zinc Alloy case, so I’m struggling to see where any damage would have happened.
Just now, I noticed that the connection was so finicky that I was willing to disassemble it, so I could reseat the USB C connector itself to hopefully get a better connection. After plugging it back into the Wooting module, absolutely nothing happens. No amount of finicking or messing with it is showing any sign of connection, and I am SO ANXIOUS RIGHT NOW.
What do I do?
