Need a 8ft USB cable for my new wooting he80 that’s on the way. My PC is a bit away from the keyboard with my desk setup. Is there any recommendations for this? Or should I buy the wooting cable and use a USB-C extender/adapter?

Buy a powered usb hub or switcher. HE keyboards are somewhat power hungry and even motherboard ports struggle with both data and power transmission through longer cables.

Would recommend Sabrent USB hubs or UGREEN USB switcher.

I’m not the one who created the thread but I’m curious.

I actually have a ugreen usb switch that I use, although I never powered it (I see it has a micro usb port for powering)

So if I connect a cable to the micro usb power port to the wall, that will be enough to power the wooting 80HE?

Wouldn’t a powered USB hub add latency and potentially distort signal? Wouldn’t that be the worst solution rather than a high quality certified USB cable?

Why would a hub add latency?

It passes through data. Just like how a long cable would - except it doesn't lose signal integrity as the cable exceeds safe USB lengths.
