prior as in a few minutes before?

#

if not then it might be signalrgb or some such

#

Reboot and it should be working again. 🙂

#

You can also safely use OpenRGB, if you disable the Wooting device scanning.

#

The 80HE will display as a Logitech G915 or something iirc. They haven't added it to the database.

wut (to the logitech part)

#

I wish I was kidding. Found out yesterday.

#

i also have used signalrgb but
i removed it because it was paid
don't see it on this computer and it isn't running

#

The keyboard should work normally, once it reboots. The control is temporary.
So... my best guess is that there's still a service that's running on login taking over.

velvet grotto
#

so in the startup section in task manager?
i'll look at it

dusk ibex
#

There or as a service - which takes a lot more digging.

velvet grotto
#

of these, firefox and my audio service aren't disabled

#

i did do a lot of browsing around while looking for rgb services so i've installed basically all of them at some point

little zinc
#

are you using browser wootility or installed wootility

velvet grotto
#

i have wootility as an app, i don't use it in the browser

little zinc
#

the razer chroma connect function may be enabled

#

then razers really bad 3rd party rgb communication would try to talk to the keyboard

velvet grotto
#

i've checked, it isn't but that app might be causing problems

#

i've uh
wrestled with their service before

#

anything i tried to do with it would light up the four sections that wooting scans for keypresses in as if they were one rgb

little zinc
#

thats cause razer doesnt send full rgb to non razer devices

#

unless you use something like project aurora or artemisrgb and their razer chroma hooks to just completely go around razer chroma and just let them handle what device gets what data

velvet grotto
#

been using openRGB because it's the best option overall (best support for audio visualizers with plugin, even bought an RGB hub for it) but i believe i've tried both of those before, so it might be caused by like registry caches or something

little zinc
#

na theyd need to be running to be actively controlling rgb

#

id try killing razer synapse if its running to see if that fixes the issue

dusk ibex
#

Yeah if it doesn't pop up into the tray on login, it's not running.

velvet grotto
#

killed off every razer process, still no juice

#

i'll try restarting wootility

#

nope

little zinc
#

hm

dusk ibex
#

If you're just closing processes, you might need to replug the keyboard.

velvet grotto
#

i'll try that also

dusk ibex
#

Unless you're disabling them outright and then rebooting.

velvet grotto
#

ok so

#

i unplugged my keyboard, closed wootility, plugged in the keyboard, and reopened wootility
the keyboard is now displaying the default rainbow preset (which is good, that is what i want) but the warning is still showing, so i can't customize it at all

i don't have anything else installed, but there might be remnants of other softwares i did install and later removed

Did you try reset board? Idk if it’s gonna help but I can’t think of anything else

#

Export profiles and save them somewhere first

#

Like dm them to a friend or smth
