Hi, so I watched the live stream regarding the new wooting 60HE v2 but I’m unsure if this would be compatible with the tofu60 redux or not? They said the new module comes with a friction fit pad and as we’ve known from earlier this has its risk bc it’s not grounded. Is there gonna be the same risk of damage? And is there a way to ground it so it won’t be damaged or do anyone have experience with it and think that I should take the risk of it not being grounded.

You will have to add a grounding sponge to ensure safe functionality.
Just like the ones we already include with the Optimum case.
(Or screwing in the PCB to make a more permanent grounding connection)
Okay! I also looked at the diagram on their site and the new 60HE v2 didn’t seem to be grounded or anything and the new case is aluminum too. Would that mean there’s a risk with the normal case in the new wooting?
Oh and do you have any recommendations when it comes to grounding it in the tofu60 redux? Like a link to the grounding sponge? Btw when you said “screwing in the pcb to make permanent grounding contact” would that be through the friction pad? Isn’t it too thick?
Or wait… you could always screw in the module with a friction fit pad?? Or what?
Yes.
Well now I feel stupid 🥹 thank you for answering me tho
Anyone know if they mentioned Owllab 60 compatibility?
