#Help! Space button not bouncing back sometimes

Ever since I remove the space button and clean underneath. And wet wipe the space keycap and put back. Now from time to time the space button would stick and not bouncing back.

I thought it could be the because of the wetness so I removed the keycap, dried it and put back. Have also tried replacing the switch to another new switch. But the stickiness is still there... I hope it's not the stabilizer 'cause it seems complicated to fix.

Anyone knows how to see if a stabilizer is balanced and intact or something?

Make sure the stabilizer is lubed.

I just received this like weeks ago. It came factory lubed and had been fine until I took it out and cleaned

Yeah but whatever you used to clean it may have cleaned off the lube or gotten in the stabilizers, messing up the prelube job.

I've only cleaned the keycap though. Could it be possible that when I took out the space keycap I didn't do it the right way and accidentally unbalance the stabilizer?

Either way, if I want to relube it or rebalance it, how can I tell if it's balanced or well lubed?

Wild question, but what material are those keycaps? If they are heavier than normal and you use L45 switches, that might just be enough that the space bar became too heavy

ceramic keycap

but has been fine until I removed it and placed it back again though..

I just wanted to mention what I've read about here on the discord in the past. Going ceramic keycaps you want to go for heavier springs for the spacebar and other big keys instead of lighter

like lekker 60 for example?

Your 80he came with some samples of those, so you could give them a try, but I think it was suggested to go even higher than those too. But I don't have any direct knowledge about the specifics SwitchySweat

samples of other switches you mean?

Yeah, some L60 and L45 I think, so you can just try to change that one L60

it didn't come with it though. At least not in my set

is it really that easy to wipe off the lube from the stabilizer by just using wet wipe btw?
