can anyone help me? my wooting 60he+ is spamming random keys and im nearly convinced the keyboard is broke. ive swapped the switches that seem to be the most common. being right alt and fn but they arent always the ones spamming. sometimes it will spam every key on the keyboard until i unplug it. sometimes it will just be space bar or another random key ect ect. ive tried cleaning out the switch seat and in the switch, ive tried a different usbc cable and in a different location. ive tried deleting and redownloading wootility. ive tried using the in app trouble shooting. ive redownloaded the firm ware for the device aswell as rerecognized the device via device manager in windows. i can provide videos or pictures if need be but i had to step away from fixing the keyboard for a moment. it was getting to agrivating for me. any help or advice is greatly appreciated, thank you!

Many things can be the cause of it, have you checked out the video Wooting has on the issue? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8ojU_8ASVE
Do you happen to have a magnet desk, like the Secret Labs one?
If you are experiencing your keyboard pressing random keys and opening programs, then you came to the right video. The issue is usually caused by an instable amount of voltage entering the board. Follow along to see what you can do about it.

i dont no,the keyboard has been working excellent with my exact set up until last night. the keys werent working, i restarted my computer and then it started spamming letters, almost identicle to the ones on the thumbnail of that video
ive tried everything in the video. i will try once more but i just contacted wooting with as much info as i could via the support ticket on the website
also sorry for the ping, tried to turn it off but for some reason it remained anyway/
im pretty convinced the keyboard will have to be warrentied, if you wouldnt mind can i send u a video of the symptoms in this thread and tell me what your thoughts are?
if not no worries. theres no rush i have multiple keyboads i can use until i figure out the wooting, it just happens to be the favorite of myn 😆
The result from the https://analog-monitor.wootility.io/ monitor might show something, Wooting will probably ask for it
ill try that right now. also, new issue just arose. hespace bar will only actuate to about 0.3mm when fully pressed
what do io once it is running?
had it going for about 2 minuites now. do i download any sort of log?
almost seems as if the space bar switch is not calibrated properly
Take a screenshot or video of what it shows
the j and the k were me
everything else was the keyboard, aswell as my space bar no longer works at all
Do you have hardware acceleration on in the browser? It looks like it might be off and that will affect the graph, otherwise it looks odd when the keys just randomly activate. Usually it's more consistent
no hardware/graphics accel r off. i ran it a few times and it seemed to look like that just about every time
also matches up with the visual representation of actuation in the wootility software. its super jittery and not consistant
The reason I ask is because when it looks so square in the analog monitor it's usually the reason (hw acc being off in the browser), here is how it looks for me.
But if it's not power issues (still the same with no RGB and Tachyon mode off), no external interference and happens on random keys which seems to vary. Then I don't know
hm im really not sure. chrome says my hardware and graphics acceleration is off. maybe i was zoomed out or something at the time of recording
It should be ON for it to work best
tried seperate usbc that is about a foot long, tried rgb off, tach off and firmware reset to no avail
OHHH, theres our issue then haha. ill go redo the video shortly.
i appreciate the help. its been driving me insane 😆
Here is the updated video with hardware acceleration on. my alt and space key are no longer working either
im pretty convinced that the keyboard will have to be warrentied. ive been poking and proading at possible solutions for about 3-4 hours now and it sems to only get worse
Okay so now that's more like it, there is something consistent that varies a bit up and down rapidly. I still can't say what it is, but that's more "normal" when something is wrong
no worries if theres nothing we can find. customer support got contacted so within the next few days im sure itll be fixed or warrentied
anything i should try? currently the keyboard is unusable which is a bit of a bummer but it does happen
thought that maybe since its the R ctrl that i could just ignore it but now with the space bar and alt not working its a bit more of an upfront problem
i tried swapping the switches from the space bar to one that dosnt get used. space bar still wouldnt work and the switch that was replaced that was previously in the space bar worked fine
its gotta be something power or board related. ive eliminated the switches
here in like 20 minuites imgoing to plug it into my laptop (different unit, currently on a desktop) to see if its software related. if it continues then i may just get the unit warrentied and save the trouble
You seem to have tried the usual things so I'm running out of ideas. I was going to suggesting moving the keyboard to somewhere else to try it, which you could do with your laptop
Like physically another location than your current desk
i lifted the keyboard in the air away from anything i thought couldve interfered but ill try a different room with my laptop.
no worries, i appreciate your help alot!
ill keep the thread updated with the laptop situation but i may hvae to just wait for custumer support to help me out
customer*
Also an important note with that is to replug it when in that other location so it can calibrate which it does in the first few seconds when it powers on (and don't touch keys for the first few seconds)
But with your spacebar not working at all it probably is a case for customer support in the end
okay i will keep that in mind. thank you!
im on the same page with this aswell. bit of a bummer but im sure they wont take long to help me out
question for you, does customer support respond via email or the wooting website
i think i missed the clarification on that when i did the ticket
awesome, thank you for your help!
I had this issue and wooting support was great, I sent in the defective board and they sent me a new one. Were you using tachyon mode by chance? I believe that was the root issue for mine, some capacitor was failing or just had a manufacturing issue and the power draw from tachyon mode sent it over the edge after a little while.
yes i use it quite frequently with the usbc provided in the box upon purchase. i over looked power being such an issue as i have a 1200w psu in my unit. i suppose its just alot of stress on the board over time?
Hello! sorry for the ping but i opened up the pcb today and heres what i found.
That looks bad
the areas that the keyboard were faulty, also seems to have a bunch of corrosion and impurities
dont mind the video lay out 😆 wasnt expecting to need to send a video at the time.
this is what i sent to the support as a follow up video to the pcb pictures they asked for.
I guess that explains the issues
yeah 😆 thanks alot for your help! i guess the warrenty is probably the road im going down
Well damn
final update, they r charging me 90 for it because it appears to be water damage. i guess thats a difficult situation for them, i know i didnt spill water or anything on the keyboard or even near it. but tbf to them, how are they supposed to believe anyone that comes to them about that stuff 😆
It does indeed look like something was spilled and let be there to corrode it, that doesn't just appear in normal conditions
yeah no for sure i get the circumastances. for what they could do via warrenty guide lines i def appreciate the effort and the help
