Left side of keyboard has no RGB | Wooting | Page 1

I decided to try and mod my Wooting80HE today by replacing it with Geon Raw HEs and the Tape mod. However, now the left side of the keyboard doesn't have RGB and I'm worried I might have accidentally scuffed the PCB when I disassembled the board. I already tried resetting and restoring the keyboard.

It’s entirely possible you may have messed something up. Have you tried to take it back out to inspect?

I did. I brushed the side with an isopropyl alcohol Q-tip to see if it was some sort of residue, but it didn't seem to work. The keys themselves still work just fine.

And you said you’ve tried to restore the board through this process?

I wonder if maybe you damaged the LED’s when replacing the switches or scratched some traces either on the front or back of the pcb

Would it help if I took a picture of the PCB with the side that has no RGB?

If the right person sees it maybe. I’d reach out to support in the wooting hub, since you likely would need more advanced troubleshooting. Unfortunately, if it’s a case of accidentally messing something up, warranty will be voided.

Dang. Well, I went ahead and made a ticket. I'll go ahead and upload a picture of the PCB here in the event someone can maybe see if I really did scuff it or not. Thanks for the help.
