I got the keyboard just over two weeks ago and it worked fine upo until a couple of days ago where it would randomly disconnect while using it which seems to happen if I press keys too hard, pick up the keyboard or sometimes just at random. Any idea if this is a keyboard problem or a pc problem?

Sounds like the JST cable is loose, you'd have to open up the keyboard and reseat the connector
