Would love to see a Wooting mouse in the future.
I believe there is a strong opportunity for a new mouse in the current market, so look into this matter when the time is right.

a new mouse with what

#

the thing we are struggeling with is finding anything to improve on in the mouse game besides software

burnt token

Just love that you can update the firmware in the browser. Kinda tired of my bloated razer software and since I use Wooting keyboard it would be lovely having a Wooting mouse as well. About other improvements idk, but maybe Wooting team can figure something out 😎

solid glen
#

it would be good, but they would have to have their own feature that would beat the other mice

Imagine a rapid trigger mouse

i was just searching online for a wooting mouse lol
would be great to have a mouse with such great software. with the wooting background service you could even consider things like the keyboard FN changing the mouse buttons or some interaction between them. to me it would be less about the mouse itself (which could still be a sick 8kHz wooting mouse) and more about synergy, maybe a matching aesthetic...?

#

They should keep the spirit of their metal cases and build the heaviest tungsten mouse that ever existed SwitchyHeart

#

idk what you mean with that really

vernal dove
#

because right now 8kHz is not really used that much due to a few reasons

#

it slows down your pc and lowers your frame rate significantly

#

and when u turn on 8kHz on a razer mouse

#

the sensor is 8k, but the clicks are only 2k

#

when sensor is set to 4k

#

the clicks are also 4k

#

u could also work on a better lightweight mouse

#

with the form of the razer basilisk v3 and logitech g502

#

and amount of buttons

#

but lighter because they both clock in at above 100 grams

# prisma bobcat I don't believe keychron has it for their mouse. Ninjutso and Finalmouse has we...
Keychron

Keychron M3 Wireless Mouse has the best PixArt 3950, 3395 and 3311 sensor. Listing in three options: 8K / 4K / 1K polling rate.. It supports 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth, and USB connection. All the essential hardware features in an ultra-lightweight mouse are ideal for any use case, whether it’s work, gaming, or anything else.

Count me corrected. I remember thinking I had to install an app with my m4 and m6 but maybe it's new or I just missed it.

but wired tho

#

but if you had it set at say 0.5mm there would be so much post travel

#

or even 0.1

sudden oxide
#

Pretty similar to how the op18k already works

naive holly
#

yeah but some people want some pre travel

#

hopefully if they do make a mouse and make hall effct switches then hopefully they can make a solution for post travel

sudden oxide
#

Focus is on keyboards at the moment unless they can find something that would set them apart from the rest of the market

naive holly
#

Yeah but when the 60he v2 comes out there’s not much more to do

#

other than like make more things like the uwu keyboard

vernal dove
#

if they DO make a mouse, then they should make 2, preferably 3 types of mice

#
  1. a very productive mouse with lots of buttons, structured like the razer basilisk v3
#
  1. a super lightweight mouse designed for gaming, structured like the razer viper v3 pro
#
  1. a budget-friendly mouse, like the logitech m310, but wooting is a gaming company, so this isnt really needed
vernal dove
#

maybe also a hot-swappable mouse?

vernal dove
#

a mouse with different spring weights u can customize?

prisma bobcat
#

all of those exists already

vernal dove
#

damn it

I don't think Wooting should make a mouse for the time being at least.

  1. As far as pure marketing and price go, Logitech and Razer will be direct competitors, both which are extremely good at marketing their products to the general masses, whereas Wooting is more of an enthusiast thing, however there isn't exactly rapid trigger or customized actuation points for mice for Wooting to stand out with and.. I imagine a Wooting mouse would cost around the €120 - 150 mark, much like Razer and Logitech.

  2. Right now the Chinese and budget brands like ATK/VXE/VGN (owned by same company, different names I think), Mchose etc. Are actually matching or outdoing Logitech, Razr, Steelseries, Pulsar, Glorious etc. at a much lower price point. So once again, unless Wooting has a unique feature, they won't be standing out enough to be considered anything special.

and here we already invested into breeding mice

late ember
# stiff marlin Custom shapes same sensor?

Which custom shape? All the ones that Zowie/Microsoft/Logitech came up with and 20 other companies changed 5% of and sold as their own? I think whatever you think may be popular/great, it has already been done

#

Now if Wooting was to take a custom mold of each buyer's hand and make a custom shell for every single person... That WOULD be unique, but it would also be stupidly expensive I believe as.. Changing production in factories isn't generally cheap + new mold every time or just about, in case you have a system that can detect identical molds and reuses a previous one.

#

But yeah, that'd be cool, however very expensive so I think it'd be too niche

vernal dove
#

this is just a joke but 16k hz polling?

lavish flicker
#

there is no 16khz polling

vernal dove
#

doesnt iqunix have 16k hz scanning for the ez80 or is that just marketing

forest crescent
#

Polling and Scanning rate are not the same thing, so showing a higher scanning rate doesn't invalidate Tonys point

vernal dove
#

o ye huh

#

mb

sturdy star
#

even its actual performance is kinda mid iirc

lavish flicker
#

also very important is that scanrate varies with the amount of keys pressed usually

#

its smth that is very important since most people press more than 1 key at a time

vernal dove
#

why is this post dead

lavish flicker
#

because we wont make a mouse unless we find smth that we can actually innovate on

#

the mouse game otherwise is just making the lightest mouse it seems

fierce stream
naive holly
#

Or make something like i think the op1 8k

#

Where it activates when it leaves the top bit bot when it hits the bottom bit

#

Im not sure if that's the right mouse tho

sudden oxide
#

So do something that someone else has already done pepe_hmmm

naive holly
#

But do it their own way

#

By using hall effect sensors ig

#

Also for games like Minecraft this would be incredible

humble creek
#

i think a trackball mouse that doesnt look rediculous and could be changed from normal to ball mode depending on use would be amazing, maybe by the thumb? maybe not a ball, a track pad?
ive been wanting to use a trackball type thing since i have the beginning of carpel tunnel, but there isnt a single not terrible looking one on the market with side buttons and led's and a adjustable/infinite scrollwheel

#

there is ABSOLUTELY space there, it might end up being overengineered, but still

#

also, adding on a varient of logitech's auto charge while in use feature on top of all that?

naive holly
#

What do you mean by normal to ball mode

humble creek
#

it wouldnt really work if it was a ball, unless there was a modular plate

#

but basically, you could disable the trackball or whatever and use it as a regular mouse as well

#

take it off for instance

vernal dove
#

even i originally wanted to before i saw yt reviews of it

fierce stream
#

i just want that same mouse made by someone else who I can trust LOL

vernal dove
#

what abt razer software

timid ravine
vernal dove

idk what razer software is like

#

i need some opinions

timid ravine
vernal dove

alr

tulip gazelle
#

there was this one mouse i saw a while back that uses switches and keycaps for mouse 1 and 2

#

it makes for a much blockier design but i think it can still look cool if its given a good bit of love

#

this is the mouse in question (i believe, or at least one that looks very similar)

#

such a simple design but it has so much potential, especiall taking Hall Effect into consideration

lament raptor
#

What about a mouse where u can change the switches like a keyboard

timid ravine
lament raptor
timid ravine
#

Keyboard switches on a mouse wouldn’t be ideal for most situations because the amount of travel. But if you’re looking to customize the feel or responsiveness of a switch on the go, endgame gear has that in the bag.

lament raptor
#

How about adding more buttons with a modular kit? I mean, instead of having buttons 4 or 5, I could leave the mouse plain or have 5 side buttons.

timid ravine
#

Like 2, 6, and 12 keys.

timid ravine
#

It’s razer’s current flagship moba mouse.

lament raptor
naive holly
#

Just combine a bunch of niche features like that slap a wooting logo on it and call it a day

vernal dove
#

real

lament raptor
#

But don't go for cheap materials, wooting isn't about being cheap

naive holly
#

Yeah obvs

But also if it was sub 30g that would be sick

glacial lynx
#

Tbh, I'd prefer if Wooting stuck to keyboards. One thing I love about them is their strong focus on a specific market. If they add a new type of product to their lineup, they might overextend themselves, and the quality of their original product would suffer.

naive holly
#

Yeah :/

I think we use mice with very little use, buttons on a "low base" / ergonomic right side buttons would be very useful, and would make an experience in MMO games, and Fortnite much more versatile. I think buttons below the two main ones could also be an option, as well as the SwiftPoint z2. There is a great lack of innovation in mice, few have side buttons on the right, or any feature that stands out.

Resume: For games that use a lot of binds (Mmo,Fortnite,Hero Shooter) use of more keybinds are very welcome. Even more so if they are ergonomic and take advantage of 5 fingers instead of just 3.

naive holly
#

A hot swap scroll wheel that you could replace with a switch

vernal dove
#

a mouse with lekker switches would be interesting

vernal dove
#

wooting's software will already make their mouse a better one

naive holly
#

yeah there software is so much better than razers oh sorry razers bloatware

#

also linear mouse switches

#

they would be sick

Its impossible to make a h.e mouse when every button travel distance is already 0.01 distances. Sure might be nice to have a mouse utilizing its software but in reality you just want to collect their products like pokemon cards. Saved in a display case.

What i want the most from wooting is to make a wireless keyboard with a built in wireless charging coil just like angry miao products https://youtu.be/lfyxgdyyo2I?si=GK1FDLYox33A1ZHa

The AM 65 Less or AM Compact Touch is a new board by Angry Miao. It features a touch panel with some really awesome functions on the front and it works pretty well. I really didn't touch how comfy this was going to be, but it ended up being outstanding and working extremely well.

I wasn't a fan of the lack of split back space but it's not a de...

Or next product they can make

Since they’re making a volume knob switch what if they make a joystick switch tom emulate a controller joysticks for all wooting keyboards since they already have software for it

Read the article it still a basic gaming mouse

#

Nothing different from all others gaming mouses beside being haptic

#

Airpods and logitech mx m4 already habe this feature and the feature is just dumb

humble creek

im basically forced into logitechs ecosystem because im so used to their lightspeed tech

no cable, never have to charge my mouse, its great but im not a fan of logitech as a company so

naive holly

I think a liner mouse switch would be really cool

naive holly

Or even if it was that good, post travel exists

Even if wooting made a normal sounding he mouse and added a feature like rappy snappy ???
