Issue:
My Wooting keyboard is detected but does not type on my system.
What I've tried so far:
Unplugged and reset (FN + Backspace for 5 seconds) — repeated 8 times.
Wootility software detects all keypresses.
Cleaned the keyboard and switches.
Updated firmware via Wooting app and web tool (v4 and v5).
Deleted and reinstalled Wootility just in case.
Wooting Restore popped up during updates but did not fix the problem.
Watched LinusTechTips and Wooting’s official YouTube troubleshooting videos.
Tested the keyboard and USB cable on other PCs — both work fine.
Swapped USB cables and ports; tested multiple keyboards — issue persists across all devices on my system.
Sometimes, the keyboard incorrectly detects as a mouse.
Ran full system checks (sfc /scannow, DISM /RestoreHealth) — no system errors found.
Followed all Microsoft troubleshooting steps.
Checked Reddit, GitHub, Microsoft forums, Wooting Help Center for additional solutions.
Performed BIOS checks, updates, and firmware updates — keyboard works in BIOS but stops functioning when Windows loads.
Performed system recovery and a full system reset — no success.
Verified all PC components and motherboard compatibility, no recent hardware failures.
Summary:
The keyboard functions correctly at the BIOS level but fails once the operating system is loaded. Device Manager shows a "Driver Error" under the keyboard device. After exhausting all standard and advanced troubleshooting (including firmware reinstallation, cable and port swaps, Windows recovery/reset, and external testing), I believe this is either a firmware, deeper OS driver conflict, or hardware communication issue.
I would appreciate any advanced support or steps beyond what’s publicly available, as I have completed all listed troubleshooting already.
