Please add a feature to (e.g.) remap where a key(-hold) can be remapped to multiple modifier keys to emulate modifier Hyperkey behavior for keys such as hyper-a, hyper-b, et al.. This would enable any key to be turned into a modifier hyperkey. Along with the feature which allows a key to have split personality when tapped vs hold, this would allow adding modifier hyperkey behavior to existing keys for compact ergonomic hyperkey keyboard.

This feature would also alleviate the need for Karabiner-Elements.app on macOS, making the Wooting 80HE a self-contained, portable Hyperkey keyboard (no added low-level software other than generic shortcuts software, e.g., KeyboardMaestro.app).

Yes, I believe adding DKS (Dynamic Key Strokes — mapping one to four keys?) to Mod Tap would do the trick!

dks can indeed press up to 4 keys for you so it is a 1 to 1-4 mapping

CLARIFICATION: In the Modifier HyperKey scenario, the Mod Tap ‘hold’ key would need the DKS (hold -> Shift-Ctrl-Opt-Cmd). DKS would be optional on the Mod Tap ‘tap’ key (tap (simple case, no DKS) -> (e.g.) Tab or (e.g.) Caps). DKS on the ‘tap’ key is a bit non-sequitur since (I gather) DKS is usually for extended use of a key… not for simple ‘tap’s.

My understanding… a dedicated key that combines an impractical key combo to provide a fresh set of keys for commands. The impractical key combo is all the modifier-keys: shift, control, opt, and command (macOS) combined to provide a keyboard of extra shortcuts. In my case, my hyperkey is split personality (also the Tab key) but usually the CAPS LOCK key is the dedicated key (mine is used as Control key).

Specifically the general accepted combinations and names are:

Meh = Control + Shift + Alt
Hyper = Control + Shift + Alt + Winkey
