Keycaps?
That looks sick
Thank you
do you have to throw it in the fire to see the letters?
Lol yeah I got a lava pit under the deskmat
(I got the training set so there are small English legends on the keyboard keycaps)
Wooting X LOTR 80HE Setup
@loud hamlet thought you might be interested to see the final build with the Jade Pros
Best decision for switches imo
Love the keycap combo!
I tried the TTC POM after fooling around with some lighter springs on the Jade pros and now they have been demoted 😅
Oh no!!!!
I feel betrayed LMAO
I'm nervous to get the TTC POMs now cause I spent so much on this setup
I’d give them a try if you’re itching to spice it up in a few months, for a sound profile they’re kinda like a louder RAW
I’ve prob spent $800+ for mine (namely artisan + GMK set), but you’ll forget about it soon enough hehe
I spent about 700+ CAD myself and I haven't even gotten my artisans yet
I think they’re worth checking out at some point
I have an Eye of Sauron and one ring artisan I've been looking at
I feel your pain there 😅
Even if it is entirely self inflicted lol
Eye will go on the numpad and the ring will go on the keeb
Yeah...
I think I'm satisfied with my Jade Pros LOL
I thought I was too 😅
Let's frame it this way which switch feels like an upgraded version of the titan switches from the Roccat Vulcan 120
Personally I like the muted thocky sound my Jade Pros are giving me
Not too big on clicky/loud
Farthest I'd go in terms of sound are like Linear Reds
That I don’t know, but if you aren’t a clack maxer, Poms are a tier above pros for volume, but from a wobble standpoint it’s not close.
so I'm pretty new in regards to what to look for in terms of characteristics, so do you mind explaining to me what you mean by volume and wobble?
So currently the TTC KOM lineup (OG KOM, RGB, and POMs) are currently the loudest switches on the market. The best way I can describe the POMs sound is very similar irl to RAWs, but turbo charge them up. For wobble (try moving your switch side to side), POMs have virtually none, but Jade pros are kinda wobbly by comparison.
There’s a lot of tests in the modding channel in case your interested (Turing test compared the wobble for POMs, Jade pros and RAWs a few weeks back)
interesting
so Volume signifies sound?
if I'm understanding what you said correctly
They have a clacky sound (similar to RAWs imo), but louder. If you like the quieter thock of pros might not like their sound as much
That's fair, good to know
I appreciate the insight
Epomaker EK21 and I swapped the stock Flamingo switches with Gateron Browns
