#Volume control by key depth
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
once i get my keyboard ill code smth about this. i actually like the idea!
Need analog input for scroll as well (many more things can benefit from this like the deeper you press, the more rapidly a key is activated (keyboard would handle this rather than OS)). Would be nice if the analog curve is adjustable as well.

it would be really sensitive, not really a point. You would have near no control, i mean you could set it to half volume or full, but thats about as accurate as you can move your finger. Also how would setting volume to 0?
sane implementation should be a hotkey to activate Volume / setting control (since this can be smth more complex if my brain cooks).
i agree on the sensitive part, ill work on that, there's always a way to make it work and we just have more tools with this type of keyboard.
as for volume to 0, when volume control mode is on, just set a key to be a quick on/off switch or mute button.
