I would like to take you all on a short journey about a little passion project of mine.

This introduction of the Lazar 80HE is made possible by the Wooting team, to which I thank for making a device worth such effort.

In subsequent posts the transformation process and credit to each person who helped make this possible at various stages will be made.

The current build consists of some modifications and 3rd party parts.

-Case has been CNC laser engraved (top) and milled (bottom)
-Cerakoted in Tungsten, Titanium and Black
-Switches TTC Magneto Pom ~48g (hand lubed with lightly bag lubed springs)
-Designer Studio - Adaptive PCB Mount Stabs
-Specialized UFO escape key
-Alien ‘Grey’ keycap (Mode)
-Silver CF (carbon fiber) plate with aluminum standoffs
-Custom coiled USB C cord

I would like to thank all those who made it possible here and elsewhere, you know who you are.

It started with an image of the infamous Bob Lazar’s sport model to which I needed turned into an engraving file…

I found @mileee on Fiverr from Macedonia who was able to do a fantastic job with the files and was helpful with some conversions needed.

The milling, engraving and cerakoting was found from @theimprovguy on FB with my general idea and his artistic creativity.

The coil cable came from KingCables on Etsy.

The UFO or UAP keycap came from Lemokey.

The alien ‘grey’ keycap came from maxkeyboard(dot)com

Signed poster from Bob himself.

The artwork and painting is done by olof_rockner from Instagram.

The design and color was as close to Bob’s description of the craft that could be achieved with cerakote available.

The cable represents the orange power extension cord that allegedly supplied the lighting for them to be able to see inside the craft.

I didn't realize how much the shine through caps are actually needed for this build. It's making me reconsider the keycaps again for my own ufo build

Yeah it is a tough call, but your choices are very limited with quality issues as well with any other shine through sets. Interesting to see what you come up with 🛸

yessir. I'm still heavily considering the KAT cyberspace with the green alphas but imgonna check out side print shine through keycaps as well. tough choice when it comes to keycaps. But it's tougher finding a cerakoter that deals with keyboards and such xD. I'm still finding gun cerakoters amongst other things. There are some online options but I just don't trust doing this whole thing online without me or someone being able to check qc on hand due to reviews.
