fortnite big issue

hey I recently pruchased a wooting 80he and while playing fortnite my builds dont get taken out when I hit f (wall) or x (floor) but it does get taken out when i hit q (stairs) or v (pyramids). is there something that Im missing here. everything else works fine but just the building in fortnite
