It would be awesome if we could map keys to any UTF character. For example, I use the em dash (—) a lot, and currently use AutoHotKey to make Alt+- quickly punch out the alt code for em dash ((Alt+Numpad 0151). It would be great if I could instead just map the em dash into the keyboard's config directly and have it work regardless of computer I'm hooked in to.
#Arbitrary UTF character support in key mapping

the part with have it work with any computer is what doesnt work on keyboards
Look up the EurKey layout, it might be interesting to you :)
I don't see any reason not to add it though? Shouldn't wooting keyboards already support this? UTF-8 is largely standardized across most operating systems, and as far as I know, keyboard PCBs should be capable of doing this. I'm not really that literate with the "kernel" level of keyboards, so please correct me if I'm wrong.
The keyboard sends key codes, not characters
What character you get depends on the language/layout settings in the OS
