Looks very saxy can’t lie nice setup

Keyboard:

VR setup:

Nvidia GeForce 3060 Ti
AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
one more thing, id suggest u get a boom arm for ur mic
its crucial for preventing boomy sounds when using ur keyboard and other things on ur desk
Oh yeah i was looking at that earlier, forgot to mention it
I would get a whole new mic since mine is only 60 but its good for now since I dont use it much.
Only problem is that I dont know how many are compatible with my desk
if u want a good overall mic that wont break the bank then a sm58 or a se v7, both for 100$, would be really good as a starter
those are xlr mics so u do need an audio interface which would be about 100$ aswell for a proper, non hissing audio interface
scarlett solo 4th gen is what i'd recommend you as a beginner, 4th gen is important if u like to mess with the volume of your headset seperately from the volume of your mic (older versions only have 1 knob to turn up/down everything alltogether)
i'd say majority of boom arms are compatible with pretty much every desk
not with mine because mine is like 10-12 cm thick but i have a specific-to-my-situation solution
i would suggest a rode psa1 or psa1+ since the psa1+ is just the upgraded version (slightly more expensive)
i personally have a psa1 and its great, i love it, but if i had the chance to buy either psa1 or psa1+ i would go for the + just cuz it has the sleeve so u wont be making (too loud) sounds while moving it around, side to side, back and fourth and so on
also the psa1+ supports lighter mics (minimum 97g) so that wont be an issue for you ever if you go with psa1+
Yes but I have the secretlab magnus pro desk which is compatible with a very limited amount of 3rd party products
Yeah funny enough, thats the one I was looking at
Thanks a ton man
ofc brother :) any questions just ask im only here to help
Really the only problem is this:
is it because it cant fit "around" your desk?
This is the desk: https://secretlab.co/products/magnus-pro?sku=4MPB2-W15B-SILSU
It has a cable management tray that has a relatively small opening in it once its clamped close
Are these both studio microphones for singing and such? Becuase whenever I search it up, thats what pops up
yes they are and theyre also for spoken word
I could put it on the side or front but the back is just nice
Ok
theyre basically a very good allrounder
and for that price its amazing
its a thing that ppl claim that the sm58 (100$) can sound like the sm7b (450$ + 100$ for cloudlifter) if u eq it properly
Woah
Only problem is the looks :/
I think that a rectangular look like every "gaming microphone" just looks cleaner
Lol
im just teasing
Well I will keep that microphone in mind, although I rarely use it so I dont think it matters to get a new mic, I will just get a boom arm that hopefully fits my desk
👍
if u ever get tired of your mic quality its about 200$ for the setup (audio interface + mic) and ur good
also if thats too much u can get a mic for 20$ (+100 for the audio inferface still) that is better than your mic guaranteed
its called the behringer xm8500
have u ever seen No Text To Speech on youtube?
he uses the xm8500
Discord is being invaded by drop shipping “professionals” and I had to get to the bottom of it.
Is it a real drop shipping business opportunity? Is it just another discord scam? And who are some of the people behind it?
Well through critically acclaimed dropshipping professional “Joe Kurt”, we figure out the truth behind Discord drop shipping ...
Do boom arms usually go on the back of desks? or is it fine with it being on the side if it doesnt fit
^ just a random video
Yeah!
mine is on the side
Ok gotcha
Yeah
some ppl say its for the looks, some say its more practical, i say its about where YOU want it and where YOU think itll fit best and not be a pain in the ass for you
Do you think the Kanto Ora's are good speakers... even though the price is alot
ORA bridges the gap between computer speakers and studio monitors giving you studio-grade, audiophile-approved sound without dominating your space. ORA has modern inputs like USB-C to get the best sound from your PC or Mac, Bluetooth 5.0 to pair with your phone or smart home device, and RCA for y...
I also found a cheaper one but these just look and sound good
your best friend would be reddit reviews for stuff like that
even tho reddit tends to be a shithole, ppl are honest as fuck on it
Yeah that can be true
so whatever you want a general opinion on you just do "kanto ora review" and add reddit at the end
"kanto ora review reddit"
I'm planning to get the Maya X mouse, maybe the kanto ora speakers, and then I think I'm good. Until the white aluminum case comes out for my 80HE
And I cant forget the boom arm
no ofc not haha
sounds good :) im glad u got something out of this conversation
Yeah thanks a lot
Its funny because I got a ton of new things for my setup in the past month (desk, keyboard and a monitor arm)
It used to look really bad
Ah cant forget gamer lights
GAMER
sounds like it as abt time to upgrade
LIGHTTSS
Definitely
the past 3 months ive modded my keyboard to the literal limit (even bought extra stuff), bought a completely new flagship pc, new mouse (viper v3 pro) and ordered some artisan mousepads
i get these bursts of just wanting to spend money on stuff
cant wait for 5070 ti, 5080 and 5090's official price reveal
the 5070ti is supposed to have 16 gb of vram so thats hype since 4070ti (even ti super) only had 12
Man its gonna be like 3k+
But having a 3060 ti is making me want a 4090 SO BAD
I get lag spikes kinda often, but i can still play games smoothly
I know I need RGB I just dont know where to put it
i have a 7800X3D with a GTX 1070
i NEED AN UPGRADE
yh i run val at 500-700 fps, cs at 300-400 fps and siege at 140-260 fps (heavily depends on map)
yeah the 7800X3D carries me hard
I'm going to get one from secretlab to put behind my desk in the cable management tray but I definitely want something on the wall
Jeez
oo also im gonna get the 480hz 1440p oled monitor
cant wait for it ive been on shitty monitors all my life and still play really well
i have a horrible 240hz va monitor currently
Woah, I've been using the koorui 24" 165HZ and its good but its only 100 so I do REALLY want an oled
How much?
but its gonna be used for more than 6 yrs
This one is on sale for 800
Which is crazy
I've been eyeing it down for a couple days
this one is very different from the one i mentioned, not my prefered monitor but many many people really enjoy 32inch 4k curved oleds
I really want it before the sale goes off but I dont want to spend all my money
It would work with my monitor arm and I've never tried curve so it would be fun
im a hertz fiend tho
Ha
480hz oled literally makes me hard
I've been wanting another pair of eyes on this. What should I put here, displate or RGB
I could do thos cool hexagon RGB, or a couple pictures
Also, any thoughts on screenbars like these? https://www.amazon.com/BenQ-Controller-Adjustable-Brightness-Temperature/dp/B08WT889V3?crid=24ASQSLV83YLO&keywords=benq+halo&qid=1659751164&sprefix=benq+h,aps,491&sr=8-2&linkCode=sl1&tag=andrewethan06-20&linkId=e70f13c19d876ffc0d24b28b5d0f0c6a&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl
(so many questions, sorry)
Oh forgot to mention, my desk is alive.
Am I cooked I have a blue yeti still
for now i do too, i sold my c214 a little while back to an old buddy of mine
i never mentioned which audio interface to get btw; focusrite scarlett solo 4th gen is definitely the best one and its important to get 4th gen. if u wanna know why just ask away
i might get a tlm102 but i was also looking at the se4100 and t1
I’ve had this a while, and idk why but it just sounds so shit in games, idk why, it seems to be fine in discord but for some reason in actual games my mic is terrible, tried changing tons of settings but nothing. I use no like amps or anything just the mic and i did use an arm but it didn’t fit how i wanted it when i got my new desk so I went back to the arm it came with
u havent eq'ed it have u?
I don’t think so no, I’ve had this mic for like 6 years or something maybe more lol
Does it by chance come in white?
no, scarletts are known for only coming in that colorway
but you can do a custom paint job on it if u really wish to

Any thoughts on what to improve besides the microphone arm, mouse, and new speakers?
Well, I want to get a OLED monitor and when I get that, I’ll probably put my second one on another monitor arm or maybe get the Magnus 2 monitor arm set.
I am probably still able to exchange the monitor arm since I just got it
I’ve been using a 2nd monitor for about 10 years now and I don’t think I can ever go back, there’s been instances I’ve had to use 1 monitor and I hated it, genuinely could not
If u want to get a Oled monitor choose a Asus ROG Oled monitor or a Dell Alienware monitor oled
I just need it below 34” and 17.6 lbs
Oh ok
