anyways my binds are WASD obviously and my ramp is E floor 2 cone V and Wall Q
whenever i do 1 triple edit my character stops all of a sudden then continues to move
tldr after every triple edit character stops moving instead of continuing to walk

ESDF is super useful to me as i can set more binds to the left side of my keyboard.

The thing with regular binds is that it takes up 3 fingers out of the total 5.
moving it to esdw, would reduce that to 2
Also, pinky is quite weak and clumsy in constrast to the rest of the fingers.

a joystick only takes up 1 finger for movement.
There are downsides to joystick. i have tried it, and moved back to complete keyboard. The main issues i had were switching speed and fatigue. Also, thumb is quite a versatile finger to give up just for movement.

not true, you can mod your board to feel exactly how you'd want, even making stab keys a lighter press than any other keys.
