That is the correct switch placement; the LED is also facing East as well. Not much can be done regarding this, as all keycaps for the [Numpad Enter] and [Numpad +] have to have the switch oriented east/west, as the keycaps only allow this orientation.

The LED should be the same Brightness i could be just the amount of light that reaches the Shine through area

Not much that can be done besides making a very custom switch with the light tunnel facing north and a redesign of the PCB to move the LED to the north as well.

I'll note I recently purchased some switches that have built-in light tunnel diffusers, which I was hoping would make a difference for the [Backspace], possibly getting more light, but I haven't had the time to try this out yet.
