because at this point many of these role colors are bad

imo it's not really worth tailoring it to light mode users, as most of the people entering here are going to have it set to dark mode
and for those who are running it in light mode it should be readable, but it's going to be very difficult to have it be high enough contrast on both for accessibility ratings

im only aware of 1 which is the two backer role.. aka the one you showed
the others (at least imo) look very much fine and readable

I would say readability should be the minimum, as contrast standards are going to be too difficult to meet

its not that they dont deserve it but its a pain

it is a pain, but really, you have to favor the majority of users in this case
most people who enter here are gamers who already favor dark mode, (can easily run a poll to see the majority)

atm we favor dark mode and the only role that was otherwise offending worse than thw two backer role, which was the 80he one, got changed on request of the lightmode people as the name was literally not visible
