Hi Wooting, and happy birthday to the Wooting UwU Keypad!
I thought i would bring up an issue I was experiencing and would like to offer not just a fix but a new layer of customization to all kbs.
You know how there are 2 Function layers by default on the 60HE+? If I make FN1 a TGL advanced key, it behaves like a "caps lock" but more like an "FN1 lock".
I mapped FN2 to the FN1 layer. I tried this both as a TGL and as a regular Hold Modifier.
As soon as I release the FN2 key or TGL off FN2, it goes back to the main layer, but the TGL indicator is still on.
Fix:
- If the FN2 button is released or in a TGL off state, the FN1 key if using a TGL advanced bind, should revert the LED to its off state or Neutral state.
Add:
- On top of that, if you release FN2, if FN2 is on the FN1 Layer, the user should have the option to choose if FN2 on release will either do the following:
- Previous Layer: Go from FN2 to the previous layer (in this case FN1 Layer).
- Specific Layer: Or go from FN2 to a specific layer.
- Main Layer: Or go from FN2 to the Main Layer, and toggle off the FN1 key TGL indicator.
Great work everyone so far, this is the only real flaw I found but it can be fixed and made even better! This is the case for the 60HE+ afaik, but maybe for all Wooting devices. I don't think anyone has really thought of doing something like this but I know you guys would consider it :)
Stay geeky and awesome 🤓 ❤️
Happy Birthday again Wooting UwU
