#socd missing setting
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
If you are using the wootility app, the SOCD setting will not appear, you have to go through the beta app listed on Wootings video on SOCD. This should be where the settings are for keys (advanced keys)
You will also have to update your keyboard to the beta version for it to show
Then you want no SOCD at all? 🧐
??? reread my msg, i have socd activated rn
ah i understand, no, i want last input priority, but when i press 2 buttons i want to them to press next button and then press both after short time
like when if im holding a and press d, i want for d to activate and then after d is activated to and still hold i just want them both not activated i guess
or activated, so that i dont move
mb its not possible or like it would be a macro xD
Alternate fully pressed behavior makes it so they’re both active at bottom out, but not inactive at bottom out. I think if they would be deactivated at bottom out when both are pressed it’d be annoying to use no?
well when u press both and bottom them out u dont move, same as if u dont press them at all but if u unpress yeah in one case u'll move and in other u wont
that's literally just socd disabled
lmfao
how are you supposed to tell it when to stop moving then
that's the point of alternate full press, once you bottom out you stop
Hmm, if it results in the same behavior in the game you’re playing, why don’t you just use “Alternate fully pressed behavior”?
coz im talking about not bottoming them out, like i said, when i press the other button not fully i want it to activate for short time and then after i stopped to have them both active, so like after 100ms i guess, but that would be like macro i think so yeah
Ah, you want a set delay? Woot has been very opposed to anything with a delay so I don’t expect that to be coming anytime soon. You can already do this if you just press slowly. The slower you press, the longer the input will be.
wdym the slower i press? how it will bottom out 2 keys if i dont wanna bottom the second key out, but yeah i think u right it will be too unfair to have function like that
With “Alternate fully pressed behavior” enabled, when A is bottomed out and you press D, only D will be active until you bottom D out, then both A and D will be active. So if you press slowly, only D will be active for a longer time compared to pressing D quickly. Makes sense?
yeah i understand and thats now what i want
if i bottom out A and press D 0.15mm deep i want to deactivate A and activate D ofc and then after some ms have A and D both active
The only way to achieve that is by pressing D slowly, you add the delay yourself. 😉
well it cancels anyway and not reactivates it unless i fully press in, so that would be the only way yeah, fully press in
mb i can do low profile keycaps?
ah no it will still travel same distance
You can use Jade switches, those have a shorter travel distance. 3.3mm compared to Lekker’s 4mm.
is there something shorter
Shorter isn’t supported yet but travel limiters exist. You can achieve 0.2 total travel distance with those. 🙂
