#problem with wooting keyboard,
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Two questions did you build it yourself, and what switches are you using?
bought it like 6 monthgs ago, uhm original
wooting 60he
been workign fine for 6month 🙂
Have you tried cleaning it?
As you mention valorant (there has been alot of reports relating to this game)
I Recommend to Enable the RGB effect "RT-Display" First to show what the keyboard is detecting and sending to the system as it will show
Green when pressed
Red When released
To Enable the RGB effect “RT-Display” you can use one of the Two Methods
Method one:
importing the already created "(Test Profile) RT-Display" profile into wootility
- Copy the Code: d1c508f2450941b50a9c33b0468d5a20b5bc
- Click the "Import Profile" Button which can be found on the left side of wootility
- Select the newly imported Profile
Method Two:
To manually create or enable the effect, you can do the following:
- Select the "Color" Tab
- Under Effect layers, add or change the current effect to RT-Display
- For better visibility set Base Brightness to 0%
Example image
could my profile be corrupuited?
12f4881b95ffb60a9699716ebe45023adc7d
Unlikely to be the cause
The provided profile above just has the settings enabled for "Rt-Display"
plus Leds off to better show the state of the keyboard
Sure the profile is just designed to show the state of the keyboard
as a fast test to see if it is either the
- keyboard
- or system/game
Any chance the keyboard is resting on a Metal Desk or a magnetic Desk matt?
uhm its tree desk
and a artisan mousepad but the keyboard is not on the mousepad
so correction to the thread it was my A button that pressing or holding
The reason behind the metal desk/magnetic desk mat is because the keyboard uses hall sensors to determine the position of the switch. In some cases, external factors like "EMI/Magnets" can mess with the keyboard's sensors, causing the current problem.
As that is not the case, the "A" key staying detected red for longer may indicate a bad calibration, which replugging the keyboard tends to fix.
Do you notice the switch staying green after release.
i see but the problem hasnt been like that before only after update i think!
i did take out the cable from the keyboard
the red problem thingy occurs sometimes and stay red for like 5 secs
Yeah, you might be right on that, as replugging did not fix it.
There are some edge cases where people experience issues with the new firmware as it changes the way the hall sensors' analog values are being processed.
You can attempt to revert back to the previous firmware by going to
- Wootility
- Settings
- Updates
- My Device
- Revert Back
and see if this makes a difference.
yes i try that 😄
saw the option
i give it a shot tommrow aswell to see if the A thing is resolved by revert back to 2.7.2 instead of 2.7.1
2.8.1*
Maybe try the beta update?
where can i find that?
See if that also has the issue
Warning if you only want rapid trigger on your movement keys you have to set it there the profiles don’t convert 100% from my testing
Mine defaulted to every single key being on rt
aalright i see
Did it fix it?
uhm tried today and still one time it happend 😦
so it was pressing A ingame
i will try to clean it that button
but it seems more fixedf than prev
Maybe it will be be better when the new beta comes out idk 🤷♂️
You could try the socd now
What is Socd? 😄

You can discuss this feature and Rappy Snappy in our updated channel #⏬│rappy_and_snappy
There is still no direct conclusion if this is cheating/bannable in tournaments/ranked matches in CS2(for example). We advise you to keep an eye on the news and development on this matter.
GLHF out there gamers o7

ah i see 😄
is it good even tho i dont use like A+D that much?
i mean like will it be harder?
its for counterstrafing right?
what will the advange in valoratn be? 😄
is it like pressing a + d fast? im not feeling so much difffrent 😮
It’s not really for Valorant
It’s only for ca
Cs*
But it might help with canceling your key input
I got the same thing in all the games i play : Valorant, CS2, Apex, OW2, League, The Finals. Sometimes when im chatting too, so it's nothing to do with the games but the new firmware (2.8 + 2.9) sometimes automatically takes the A key command on itself...randomly.
hi i ordered wooting 60he+. now i see the complaints and it scares me. Will the problems be solved? my other question i will use for valorant, its good for valorant?
every keyboard has lots of issues wooting just is not afraid to display them
Everything is fine if u use the stable firmware 2.7 ! Version 2.9 is the beta one, people are giving feedbacks so the wooting team can improve it in the future, it only sucks...for now.
it's good for all FPS games i'd say. I play tons of FPS, not a pro yet, but it does improve my gameplays a damn lot, so worry not.
the application wooting does not detect my keyboard wooting 60he+ for fortnite double movement
