Hey all, I wanted to share my opinion and the opinions of many others on this discord. First off Wooting we all love you and thanks for literally changing the game. A lot of us believe that you should release your version of "Snap Tap" as its already being abused by thousands of players with a razer keyboard. I know you are waiting for it to be "cleared", and the general conclusion is that its allowed in many FPS games. Not only was there a tweet from an ESL head referee allowing it, there is also a link on razer's website that shows pro players in their respective games using it. Source [https://www.razer.com/ca-en/technology/snap-tap-mode]. On CS2 Mouz have been using it for a while, including for their pro league win. I don't believe its up to you guys to take the moral high ground if its already been released and being "abused" by players. Thanks for hearing me out.

Rappy Snappy - Snap tap when?
Lower latency is one of the main features of the wooting keyboards that make these keyboards interesting for many users. Thereby, adding snap tap would be a logical extension to be added. If esports requires this to be disabled then have those competitions disable it via a software toggle. This should not have an effect on anyone else that is not entering any type of esports competitions.
I strongly agree. Razer's Snap Tap currently outperforms Wooting's implementation. By shifting Rappy Snappy from deepest key priority to last input priority, Wooting could achieve a significant improvement in latency. This seems like a straightforward improvement. Looking forward to it!
Basically a wait and see from what I gathered, although ESL seems to be allowing it -
People are arguing that they dont know about other games, we cant get statements from EVERY competitive game out there. Its simple, like how OSU banned rappy snappy, if it gets banned, dont use it.
Honestly, if I was in charge of Wooting, I would ship it today. There's no need to have it cleared when Razer has already done that work. Snap Tap canceling inputs is no more cheating than Rapid Trigger canceling your inputs is. Configuring whether you want previous inputs to be nulled by new inputs just gives more control over your inputs and isn't doing any inputs for you. Peripherals are always being innovated to give players an advantage. If Razer is doing it, then Wooting should do it better.
Lower latency benefits all games’ feel so these features will benefit all games. The more responsive the input the more immersive gameplay feels. Solving the competition issue is just enforcing certain settings for those competitions. It should not prevent the rest of the world to not be able to utilize this feature elsewhere. The majority of gamers are not competitive players. Since this can be solved through software this could be added as an option. This ensures that wooting stays competitive as a brand.
@exotic trout
WE NEED THIS FEATURE ADDED!
couldnt have said it better.
VOTE FOR WOOTINGS “Snap Tap” IN!
I agree overall, but let’s not spread misinformation about MOUZ’s EPL win whilst advocating it. They did not use Snap Tap during their run, this has been confirmed by MOUZ officially.
razer got money they sponsor tournaments
I was told I was being "intentionally obstinate" when I said this
I'm not sure why this specific function is being touted as a cheat, if this is a cheat isn't DKS a cheat? An OSU pro recently got exposed cheating using DKS. The function should be available for those of us who wish to use it and leave it up to the games to ban usage of it in competitive/pro play. ESL/Faceit won't ban it as Razer is a major sponsor for teams and events, might as well give us wooting users the same functionality as well.
We did it boys
