Replacing the 60HE+’s steel plate for a PC plate. Reason 1: Exposed steel is exposed steel which rusts, not the end of the world but definitely not great. 2: PC’s sound and feel is preferred by most over steel. 3: Cost.
Instead of lowering the cost of the 60HE or pocketing the difference, replace the plate mounted stabilizers with PCB mounted ones. The previously given reason to not do this was cost, I doubt the savings from replacing the steel plate would cover this entirely but a worthy improvement (80HE 🤔).
As plate mounted stabilizers would be discontinued, support for them on the PC switch plate is no longer required and enlarging the stabilizer holes to support all PCB mounted ones could, should and would be a worthy improvement too (80HE 🤔).
I cooked and enjoyed my meal. 💯
