for some reason my kb is ignoring my global brightness setting and keeping it at 70% brightness unless I hold down the Fn key. it seems like this is because I had turned on tachyon mode at some point, and I've both unlocked the global brightness, set it to 100% and then turned off tachyon mode, and it still stays stuck at 70% brightness.
