#Was adding a "Buy/Sell/Trade" channel ever discussed or considered?

Bump! I wanted to make this suggestion not too long ago but forgot. Iād definitely like to see it but it could be tough. If thereās no moderation itād be a pit of scammers ācause all kids want free Wooting gear and if there is moderation itād make Wooting responsible. With moderation I mean middlemen of sorts.
Technically this server already has a trade channel of sorts: #šāuwu_keycaps š¤£
I didn't know this channel existed, thanks! Gonna post in it once I get my uwu, i have no interest in keeping the collector keys.
Moderation would be difficult, it would have to be mostly unmoderated I think. People trade assuming the risk and can then vouch for one another. Theres a few members I would feel comfortable trading/buying/selling with. I'm part of a few discords with a trading section, then there is r/mechmarket too. They're all moderated differently, and some not moderated.
It can always be just a 'browsing" channel, with people making links to their mechmarket post or their ebay listing etc, the main benefit being having a central HE focused market to check first instead of browsing hundreds of listens on mech market before you see one related to HE gear.
usually we would say ebay, craigslist, gumtree and what not exist to facilitate second hand trades. for the uwu we had the concept of the collectible keycaps though which we gave the already mentioned channel. later on i made a completely unmoderated tradeplatform in my free time where people can list keycaps and such but users also carry all the risk of each trade. offering a trading channel/platform in an official capacity always has hurdles and risks to consider for us as a company as not all consumers fully grasp their rights and where those start/stop especially when it comes to online trading between private individuals.
ill bring it up internally and then let the higher ups decide
might have to wait until we have a community manager though
