No power out of the box (60he module)
Just to check a few factors:
What case did you use for the keyboard, and if so, do you have a link?
You mentioned that the keyboard is not detecting the device. Could you check if it is being detected as "Wooting Restore" under Device Manager?
Device Manager
- Click on the "Start" button in the taskbar
- Type in "Device Manager"- Select View
- Select View by container
- Select View
Please tell me if the device is listed; it may have one of the following names:
- Wooting (Two He / 60HE / UwU)
- Wooting Restore
- Not listed
Hey thanks for responding, I used this case https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SS91TQW?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 and ill check device manager right now
its also a no show in device manager. not listed in there
Sorry mate, I believe I found the issue.
Wooting has a public list of compatible cases. The one that you have linked is part of the non-compatible ones, which, if used, can cause damage to a component on the PCB, the ferrite bead to be exact. If that is damaged, it can cause the keyboard to no longer receive power, which would explain why your keyboard is not detected by the computer.
This would not be covered under warranty.

Ahh, quite the oversight on my part then. What a shame
thanks for your help man I appreciate it
are you aware of any way to repair that part? or did I just kill the whole thing by doing that
You can contact Wooting for a replacement PCBA (at cost) or go down the route of repair.
I will note that while the replacement component is cheap, costing only a few cents, downside is the commission for repair can cost more than the cost of a replacement in some cases.

Got it. Well thanks again for your help
