Custom CNC Wooteneko “Kyogre”

This was definitely a huge leap for me but I just wanna start off by saying shoutout to Rec0nKill and nash.gaojie for making this whole thing possible.

This started after I saw Rec0nkill’s wootstation post about his custom Bakeneko Unikorn case for his Wooting. In the post Nash.gaojie was credited for having been the one to manufacture the case so I ended up reaching out to him.

He said that Rec0nkill wanted the design to not be remanufactured which was understandable but told me I could reach out to Rec0nkill to ask about it.

After reaching out to Rec0nkill he told me that he wanted to keep the unikorn weight design kept private which is completely understandable but knowing he designed the weight I asked if he would be willing to design me my own weight to use with the case.

I recently had seen the limited run of the Kohaku with a Kyogre weight design and absolutely fell in love.

Rec0nkill drew up the weight design and sent the files over to nash.gaojie, after that I talked to him to pick out the colors and materials used.

To summarize the case, It’s CNC Aluminum, Anodized in this beautiful Blue color which was actually one of their color options that did not cost extra. As for the weight, it is Sandblasted Stainless Steel with the Kyogre design engraved into it.

I also have an Aluminum plate that I will be using when I put the build together, as of right now I am waiting for the O-rings to arrive so that I can mount the PCB.

Again just wanna say thank you so much to Rec0nkill and nash.gaojie for helping make this dream become a possibility, both were extremely helpful and responded extremely fast! ❤️

I paid Rec0nkill €20 for doing the weight design and then the Keyboard + Aluminum Plate was $410 after shipping

Yea, he’s been a huge help with everything. Currently waiting on the o-rings I ordered to get here and the screws I need for mounting the aluminum plate to the pcb. Once those get here it’s gonna be time to grind down the pcb in the spots needed so it fits in the case but yea it’s been a journey already just getting to this point

Thats with the 50A o-ring, I also have a 30 but haven’t put it on yet

What switches and parts do you have in this board? (Like plate material and other mods if so)

Def should take a look at 30a, im really curious cus 50a seems quite "hard"

Switches and stabs are stock from wooting besides the fact i lubed them and holee mod done to the stabs, other than that its an aluminum plate

Yea the jades are definitely on my radar, ill throw the 30A in now and send another sound test/bounce test

from the sound test it seems like its more high pitched with the 30a

Yea its slightly higher pitched and definitely a lil more bouncy but thank you I appreciate it! Still wouldn’t have been possible without Recon and Nash though

New update dropped! Stock Jades installed with 30A O-Ring (Still no foam in case or between plate and PCB)

I put the foam that came with the tofu60 and the foam that came with the module both in

And it sounds much more thocky than yours its a really nice sound for that being the only "mod"
