Public read-only achieved channels. Discord search is a whole lot more useful with information from achieved channels. 60HE, UwU and someday 80HE too. It helps to not have the same questions over and over again, hence Discord search for the few that use it.

What an odd response. If they’re not needed then leave them public but read-only like achieves have been since the first achieved channel. It’s also not only 5 people. People who use Discord and are aware of the search function use it.
I personally don’t have the entire channel memorized but I don’t doubt there’s useful information there. Be it user written or from staff.

Again, no. These channels are only kept around in an archived state for the rare event that they are required as a reference for moderation purposes. Any information contained in them is at best dated, and at worst out of date.

i mean i would also be ok with just deleting most of the archived channels that didnt have a new message in them for over a year as its unlikely to be required for moderation purposes either.
