Just to check, but have you bound any gamepad bindings to the profile?
an example image.
i think this is correct?
Looks right. Could I have a picture of the left side just to make sure you are using an "active profile"?
also correct profile slot
could you use the site https://hardwaretester.com/gamepad
to test if it detects the inputs
Displays info about all gamepads connected to your computer. Check buttons, joystick axes, drift, and more. Works with all controllers and joysticks in a modern browser.
hmm other method is to use
to go to windows type in
joy.cpl
and see if there is an xbox 360 controller
Example image
ok might be windows that doesn't detect the driver as it not showing up there just to check could you go to
- windows type in "Device manager"
- select "view"
- Sort By container"
- Select and expand "wooting One"
- and take a picture of the listed drivers
seems to be missing "xbox 360 Controller for windows"
(example of mine)
hmm, controller input works in game when i plug in an actual xbox one controller, so its on the keyboards side prob
ok that is odd... would think it not work at all while the Driver to emulate an 360 is not listed
oh sorry if i misspoke,
the keyboard inputs dont work because of a cotnroler being plugged in
i was just meaning that an actual controller, its own inputs do work
ohh gotcha
Just to check first before removing drivers, could you:
- Go to "Wootility"
- Select "Settings"
- Select "Keyboard Settings"
- Look for the "Gamepad Mode" category and make sure "Xbox controller" is selected. You can also attempt to select "No gamepad" then "Xbox Controller" to force a refresh.
so when using the active profiles, the xbox or generic selction disappears,
but when going to the second list of profiles the option appears
huh, i jsut downloaded the actual app instead of the browser version sinc ethe browser doesnt have the settings section,
and ion the app its indeed set to no gamepad
that fixed it,
why was it set to no gamepad by default and no option to change that in the browser version
sorry for the confusion when you view it in the "inactive profile" selection it will display the gamepad Inputs as either "xbox/Classic" input so easyer to see
you will need to go to Settings > keyboard settings> Gamepad Mode to change if the gamepad features are Xbox/Classic/Off
.
ok that is different when i select "No gamepad" it removes the Gamepad tab on the bottom of wootility
i had assumed that it was already active from the first picture
well it was still letting me do all the controller settings in the brower soft, but only the installed soft has the ''no gamepad'' toggle wich was for some reason set to no by default
so there needs to be a warning somewhere ''gamepad is set to off'' or something for the future
that is the odd part that the tab should not be viewed when it is disabled example of when i disable gamepad
just turned it off to test, section is still there
Must be some voodoo or maybe related to the "Wooting One."
