Extra foam under the pcb and plate silicone piece swapped out for PE foam plus plate foam.
I have built a number of customs, so figured I would try the wooting when the module came out. Went with the basic tofu redux case but might try print a plate that could fit my geon frog mini in the future.
Thoughts on the build:
- keycap choice is questionable, might change it to something darker.
- L45s are light light, keep triggering the keys by accident, have some gaterons and geon raptors otw to test.
Some issues:
- The PCB is screw in stab compatible yes, I used clip ins and they fit BUT I realised that most third party plate manufacturers do not make plates that cater for slightly wider stabs than the stock plate mounted ones. The kbdfans wooting fr4 plate will not fit with tx stabs and the stock plate is a tight squeeze with some deforming involved.
- Stock plate sounds too plasticky and im trying to find a replacement for it.
Overall been having fun, rapid trigger is hard to get used to but is a blast.
