Tactile switches is just a must (for those that know) when you're not gaming and use keyboard for typing, or anything else (new Lekker Tactile60 switch (silent)).
So instead of having to buy and use 2 different keyboards (60HE + another 75%+), and swap between them on your desk, either with same cable (unplugging/plugging), or with 2 different cables (and also taking more space on the desk) - you would just buy the 3-part Wooting keyboard with consistent style, easily swapping, snapping into place the smaller left part of the keyboard with Linear or Tactile switches installed (with the cable being in the middle of the keyboard, landing on the right side, not having to fiddle with it).

It's known that Wooting is lacking in Tactile switch department, for all other use than gaming, where many people prefer Tactile instead of Linear - so this would be a great way to bring a new Tactile HE switch (that wouldn't be that bad at gaming either, but most importantly being great for general use).

Faster swap all switches to Linear and vice versa (if you for some reason like all-Linear better).

Maybe there should be a cable slot on the left parts too, so you can have option to at any point removing the right part, using the left (Linear) part for gaming, for much better mouse space.

(Spacebars being 2.25u means you can much easier find 2.25u keycaps for them (especially blank Shift ones), there might also just follow a different style spacebar set with order)
(The 3 important "modifier keys" on both sides of bottom row being 1.25u, and not some awkward 1u, 1u, 1u on the right side that is common with 75% kbs)
(More centered ALT placements, better in general; better when gaming - reaching ALT with your thumb easier, especially for ESDF setup; easier ALT GR usage with ISO)
(featuring that special knob-switch w/ keycap, which you can swap to any other switch slot on kb)

ill be honest i dont see a lot of people being interested in such product. i also personally dont see the hype around tactile having come from clicky, then modded them to tactile and now just using linears because i bottom out anyway no matter if theres a click or bump. but id be interested in what others think on this.

Think it's a very good product, if it just looks/feels solid and sounds ok when any 2 parts are together (attached properly, except I guess for when you lift the keyboard). Longer periods of not gaming anything that requires Linear switches, you just forget you had the Linear part (store it somewhere else).
About Tactiles, maybe you didn't try that many of them? Probably need to try a few to find some you like (many good ones are more expensive). Also I guess most people haven't tried many other tactiles, or have had only Linear for a long time and they kind of forgot about Tactile being better for non-gaming and also really for no-linear-needed-gaming.

Faster swap all switches to Linear and vice versa (if you for some reason like all-Linear better).

  • Some disadvantage being that if you want custom keycaps, often switch between halves, and really want to have same keycaps always, you would have to order double set of those keycaps (but honestly not many would really want that either, it's fine to have like the Linear part be different from the rest, kind of makes sense to have different look/feel for gaming, might look kind of cool too). (Or you have to swap keycaps every time, but this is not recommended, will wear them down, and too much work.)
  • Also having to send more keycaps with order (having to actually probably have "1/2" of the keycap set just for the left version, avoiding sending a double complete set (so it's cheaper)) (also more switches ofc). Price-wise should aim for $220.

I hope it will be helpful for the development of my future keyboard! HE80.
Personally, the arrow keys are useful and I use them, the F too, print screen maybe 2 times a year, but Page UP, Page DOWN, INS, DEL is right next to the delete arrow, I would remove all of these 4 or I would put something else, like the volume wheel.

Mostly true yeah, but the issue I would have with that exact layout is the right Alt Fn Ctrl 1.0u keys, which look too cramped and not as convenient to use. That's also a reason why I adjusted it in my version(s).
Another way of doing it is having two 1.5u there instead, but you kind of lose either Ctrl or Fn (losing Ctrl is not even bad tho, but then you have to have some blank or correct 1.5u Fn, if you replace keycaps or something, which is not that easy to find I guess), and some keycap compatibility.
