When i got the wooting uwu keypad it was working up until i tried to download the software. For some reason it could not install the software and all of a sudden rgb stopped working and my pc no longer registered it as a device meaning no device found even though it was clearly plugged in. Ive tried unplugging it, resetting with the instructions given. It still didn’t work

From the sounds of it, I believe your device was receiving a firmware update but was interrupted or failed mid-upload, causing the firmware to be corrupted, which will force it to stay in "Wooting Restore" until it can be flashed with a working firmware.

I would recommend trying to launch the Wootility software and attempt a "Restore"

Please note that the browser won't detect it in the starting steps while in "wooting Restore". You will need to click the button "Try Our Wootility" on the front page. Once in Wootility, please go to:

  • Settings
  • Troubleshoot
  • Select device
  • Select layout (you can skip this step)
  • Select "Restore"

Please note that certain factors can cause a "Restore" to fail listed below are some the more common reasons

  • If you are using a USB hub or a KVM, please try plugging the keyboard directly into the motherboard or the back of the computer.

  • If you are using the web version of Wootility, try using the downloaded version of Wootility and see if that resolves the problem.

  • There could be a problem with the USB cable. Please attempt to use another cable; the shorter, the better, or the stock cable if you are not using it.
